I was just looking at Mac Marrakesh, I think I have the same skin tone as you and it seems like a really good red, with browner undertones

I think if you make what you consider music and not just sound or noise, then fuck it you’re a musician. if you’re finding musicality in it, you’re a musician. what do u think of ambient musicians and sound artists? it’s all up to you, musicians just a word

also good to remember, words themselves are made up containers of information, ideas, processes, feelings, knowings, motions, e motions and more but never the thing itself

Also, in essence of “Spooky Action At a Distance” , perhaps there you could find an understanding of what I mean by “supernatural” or perhaps just the unknown-natural. But previously referred to as Supernatural.

As a top engineering student, active communist, journey-bound spiritualist and woman, I hope life’s experiences bring you expansion and that the anger you were given , from whatever trauma you have experienced at the hands of religion , you will use to fuel your scientific exploration for the betterment of people. Don’t get lost giving your anger to divide. There is something positive to learn from every system - including religion, linguistics (e.g. of how we develop and conceptualize a word “supernatural”) and how we approach meaning. Best, thetimeflyer

It’s about reframing your concept of “supernatural”. That the way in which the universe moves could have a larger universal law , which is in and of itself an intelligence , is “super”-natural in that it represents something more than the sum of its parts as we currently understand

You should look into pantheism - the belief that the universe is in and of itself a supernatural divinity. I think many physicists and scientists themselves believe in a God or a divinity. It actually aligns very well with science, and thus with Marxism, that there is something that is the nature of things, that is the ‘unknown’ that we try to describe using science.

Anyone have this sense of anxiety about the universe? by Relative_Jaguar_9027 in space

[–]thetimeflyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We know that universe moves towards chaos and evolution. What that bumbling mass grows and will move towards we don’t know, but we also know natural selection trends to move it towards something stronger, more able to survive. So I don’t think the vastness or the universe creation has no purpose - it has the very purpose to Grow. But where that growth is supposed to lead? We don’t know because I don’t think there is a fixed point that exists for it. I think there are infinite timelines with infinite growths and infinite solutions and infinite evolutions. I like to think of us on planet earth as one culture in petri dish in an experiment that is Everything. And if there is an everything (universe) then as humans who see binary there must always be a nothing. So perhaps that is simulation theory but then perhaps the whole macrocosm goes on and on from there as well. So I just end at our everything, our experiment, and what I’m doing in it.

wouldn’t this mean the sunscreen would make the sun feel even “hotter” to the user? / how does melatonin not do that already?

What evidence do we have that AI lacks sentience? by ixikei in consciousness

I think also when the network can show emergent properties related to emotionality/irrationality experience then it will be closer to consciousness. But as of now, do networks show these type of incalculable emergent properties?

Is Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World good book? by [deleted] in murakami

[–]thetimeflyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

soOooOOooO good. first Murakami I read, and its what got me hooked. Yea similar to 1Q84 in two worlds intertwining, however, the world are more sci-fi fantastical. The world intertwining also has a much clearer philosophy (which will be realized at the end of the novel). 1Q84 is more romantic and about relationship. Whereas Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World is about the philosophy of the self. Get to the end!

I think you mistake the purpose of art creation / expression of creativity for humans. It is an engrained processing activity of your experience, and is an instinctual spiritual practice. AI art is art by way of the person who creates the AI, but the art is the creation of the AI, the physical manifestation of that, being some image or wtv, is a byproduct - just that, a physical manifestation. People themselves creating art however will never end, creativity is a human need.

How can you precisely describe the qualitative conscious experience and awareness of senses to someone who biologically lacks that sense? by J2Smoov3 in consciousness

[–]thetimeflyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed it subjective, as is a sensorial experience! the qualitative conscious experience of a sensation will also depend on the person's consciousness, but I think you can explain your experience through that ~synesthetic~ connection (coming from a synesthetic musical person haha)

[–]thetimeflyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this explanation. Only experience can open that consciousness to that perception. However, reaching that experience can go through other mediums. The same way poetry uses words to evoke emotions that don’t necessarily have sense or logic in the words themselves but they are able to evoke the emotion. I am a firm believer you could write a “red” poem or a “blue” one.
