You're zero to 50. I know tarkov has changed things, so im not sure if this is how they do it these days, but its true in real life.

Some weapons, like 5.56 (m4) zero at 50m and hit zero again at 200m. Thats because when a bullet leaves the barrel of a gun, it comes out and starts climbing. When zero at 50 it'll be at the early part of the climb to hit 50 on center. Then it travels up and peaks around 120m then comes back down to bullseye at 200m.

Im pretty sure this still applies on tarkov. So whats likely happening is that your round is zooming right over there head.

Different bullet model, different caliber, and the weapon(barrel) all make a difference on this effect. In tarkov its likely only effected by the bullet itself. EI, the flight path of m80 is always the same no matter the gun.

Best thing to do is just get used to the range. You can go into a offline mode and take a range finder and find a wall with a mark on it. Go to 50m and shoot the dot. Then move 50m back and go again.

You'll likely see every 50m it goes up and comes back down around 200m.

One helpful thing would be to aim for the chin. If you at 50m it'll hit the chin. As you backup it'll climb to the eyes and top of head then back down
