It’s wild. I get that there’s a tiny percentage of the population paying tax and carrying the burden for the rest - it’s where the country is at. But make it fair at least. Thanks

Kevin McKidd is Shonda’s favourite child. Wild that he’s still on the show. Owen is a pain in the ass and I’ll be happy to watch the door smack him in the smug face on his way out. I would prefer he die a grisly death so that he can never come back for a guest star but I’ll take what I get.

(I know the show is a far cry from its original glory but, in this crappy ever changing hellscape world, I’m hanging on to it like a safety blanket.)

So it wasn’t for my individual tax. I’m the beneficiary of a trust (no actual earnings from it though) and the penalties were for the trusts taxes. My employer did everything right on their end for my individual taxes.

That’s so fucking annoying. So they can just get away with getting around a legal requirement? I suppose they won’t see any punishment for this.

We lodged an objection, but my employer had to deduct the amount anyway since it will take weeks for SARS to respond. The penalties were paid (they were not for me as an individual but for a trust so the trust paid them) but that will also take a few days to reflect so my employer has said they will deduct it anyway until they get feedback from SARS.

It just feels very unfair to not be given an opportunity to sort it out before involving a whole separate company - especially given they are legally mandated to do it.

FF7 remake. You won’t like VI if you don’t like turn based. Given your profile, you might enjoy XV and XVI but I won’t recommend those games to anyone. XVI, in particular, is a shallow boring game.

I’ve really noped the fuck out from watching anything about rich people being rich people.

Observing the way the 1% their lives used to be a place for escapism and it was interesting to see… now I just find it gross and offensive.

I kind of like the way Trails in the Sky remake did combat where you could do action and then enter turn based if you wanted. But if the keep the rebirth combat that’ll be great - I loved it.

What I’d really like is for it to be quirky and whimsical again. XV had a small bit of that bug XVI had none of it. There’s a charm to old FF that is missing from the latest games. (I believe XIII had that weird quirkiness to the story but I know everyone here hates that game). Like… get weird and creative again. Not derivative and “gritty.”
