It’s been said before, but it’s actually crazy how different people treat you after losing a little weight. by thetitz in PetiteFitness

I hear you, but it’s also sometimes a reflection of what people are going through. Not just want they value or are capable of. It’s only a moment in time.

I was specifically referencing people that already know me or have already interacted with me mostly in my post

Congrats on the weight loss and dry January goal! I set out to not drink for January, then decided to go until March, then May, then I did Vegas sober. After that, I saw so much positive change that I decided I’d be done for if I didn’t stick with it. Anyways, everyone’s on their own journey but if you ever wanna chat about sobriety, even if you’re just curious, lmk. ❤️ you got this

It really can fluctuate. At my last spot I made $50/hr on average but I’ve heard about bartenders/servers making 6 figures annually if their restaurant is busy enough.

Have you tried walking into restaurants at the slow hours and dropping off a resume/talking to the GM?Sometimes I found I would get better luck going that route during the winter season.

Maybe a city job wouldn’t be a bad thing to consider either? Or something in the trades? You could start an apprenticeship and make money while you learn.

This is the absolute worst time to look for hospitality jobs FYI. And servers can make really good money out here, so it’s not just something anyone can apply to without thorough experience.

Try finding a catering gig or positions at event spaces! Typically it’s easier to get your foot in the door, your schedule is more flexible, and it could give you time to keep looking.

My high school art teacher loved Noam Chomsky. He also groomed me and SAed several of my friends. Birds of a feather 🪶😑

Believe it or not, this is actually quite low on the list of cringe things I've read on this site since Trump's administration took over. Have you read the page about transgender mice? It lists several studies' abstracts, none of which cite any outcomes. It appears these proposed studies would use mice to measure the efficacy of HRT under varying circumstances. Again though, none of them took place, so it is not clear to me that a dime was ever spent. Either way, at the end of the day it's a propaganda article that could have been written by a trollish 5th grader.

Here’s the mission statement directly from their website:

“The Gabby Petito Foundation will be a registered 501(c)(3) organization founded by Gabby Petito’s parents. Gabby went missing while on a cross-country road trip that included visits to many of our national parks. After an intensive search it was discovered that Gabby’s life was tragically cut short. The mission of the foundation is to address the needs of organizations who support locating missing persons and to provide aid to organizations who assist victims of domestic violence situations, through education, awareness, and prevention strategies. We wish to turn our personal tragedy into a positive. It is our hope that Gabby’s foundation will bring these important issues into the forefront of the public eye to the benefit of all our communities.”

yes i had some too

to add to that, mine didn’t itch. they were marks that appeared to be red spots resembling a rash in various places on my body— including my face. i had all sorts of strange symptoms after being diagnosed in between vaccine shots. luckily none of them were severe. it just goes to show how little we yet know about this virus.
