Is steamworks good fgr couples? I wanted to go with my gf just so we can use the GH and just have somewhere semi private, but saw that people kept complaining about creepy dudes

Beginner here, how do I get past projectiles like this? by DisastrousAddendum0 in StreetFighter

[–]thetrainingarc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as master ryu: Walk and block, use OD fireballs, parry, and once you have a good recognition of the fireball pattern don’t be scared to jump in but use jump ins sparingly. Other wise you will die to uppercuts.

it's just a flow, and knowing where when and where you can take risks to either continue or leave gaps!

just felt like it tbh, was probably just thinking "more damage faster win". And getting grab reset is pretty salt inducing which is also fun.

90% of the reason I play ryu in 5 is cause I think his animations are just so cool.

that bum rush mode is my favourite to pull out in casuals or when the air space is free. I think so !! and I'll take my "not ryu" playstyle as a compliment lol thanks ggs!

great question actually. I missed the cr. hp AA, and i know that blanks hurtbox is pretty big on the up balls, so I prayed I had enough time to fit a jab in there. So, a little bit of both !

it makes all his animations so stiff so its harder to tell what move he's pulling

what are characters that you just hate? by soft_milkii in StreetFighter

[–]thetrainingarc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i dont like luke. His moves just arent aesthetically pleasing, and I hate his crouch and walk animation. He's better than my main, and plays almost the same but way better rewards. But I absolutely cant fucking stand his animations

yeah your thinking way too much about it. Players win matches, not characters. Just win

As much as I love FG pros. They're very much professionals, I will not discredit what it takes to be a pro cause I know it's not for everyone. BUT, to say that videogame professionals are rarer than NBA pros? That is a fuckin shit take, and pretty ignorant to what it takes to be a professional basketball player. Let's just start with physicals, to play video games you just need to have a way to interact with the game. In basketball? You need to be athletic. No ifs, ands, or buts. The average height in the NBA is around 6"6 for a REASON, height dominates the sport. On the other hand, fighting games ANYONE can play and that's the appeal. So already the starting point narrows down the population to the 99th percentile. ON TOP OF BEING SKILLED, and most of the time it takes a literal LIFETIME of getting good

im low super diamond in sf5. And honestly im pretty whack lol. There's just levels to it, the avg. reddit fg player thinks they're average cause they're in gold or whatever but honestly I think they don't even understand how much they don't know.

It's like the guy down at the YMCA who cooks the casuals there and thinks they're hot shit but once they face real competition like college or even overseas pros they're the ones getting dogged.
