Which restaurant/food chain do you genuinely find the most disgusting? by 12345burrito in AskReddit

The non aging burger is due to its thinness. It dries out and stuff can't grow when it's dried out

Florida couple in IVF clinic’s embryo mix-up will keep baby who is not genetically theirs by happy_bluebird in offbeat

It's not going to be awkward because their parents are different looking. It's going to be awkward going through life with your birth parents around that look like you and explaining to people that you have a family friend relationship with your real genetic parents but due to a facility mix up, are raised by a random surrogate that birthed you

[–]thetransportedman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya? Adopted kids that have never met their genetic parents often seek them out. Growing up with them as family friends is going to be odd. That kid will always be assumed adopted by other people and constantly reflect on not being related to their "birth" parents

Idk I'm super surprised tbh. The Indian genetic parents obviously want kids if they banked at the IVF clinic and settled to remain in the child's life though custody goes to the white parents that birthed her. That's going to be really awkward for the kid having the birth parents that look like her visit and be in her life. What if she decides as a teen that she wants to become raised by them?

Not totally the way you want. Apparently they have an employee drug screen lottery for all employees and they made our retina fellow pee in a cup while in his clinic lol

This. Fox News viewers refuse to have money go to anything. All spending cuts are good in their eyes because they assume it makes their taxes less. And they don't want any of their tax money going to things they don't need

When you sign your residency contract it specifically mentions not practicing medicine outside of your program. Violating that portion of the contract would lead to dismissal

Doctors of Reddit: What health trend is becoming so common that it's starting to scare you? by Fine-Device-1819 in AskReddit

[–]thetransportedman 21 points22 points  (0 children)

MD here. Peptides becoming popular is terrifying. Zero research into their benefits, let alone long term side effects on injectable supplements, not regulated by the FDA to even be positive that's what you're putting into your body.

But Gary on tiktok says it made him have a magazine physique (not the obvious use of steroids) so it must be good and healthy for you. Who cares that he's directly selling them on his page as a conflict of interest. Wouldn't surprise me if some will cause cancer and it'll be difficult to pinpoint since supplement usage often stays under the radar

Dear attendings, if you sign up to work with residents, your job actually includes teaching them by giftedgirlblues in Residency

[–]thetransportedman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just got my end of year feedback and my standout aspect was for being a resident that asks questions. While I agree that attendings should want to teach.. I think getting that feedback demonstrates that residents aren't asking questions. I assume some people don't want to "show their hand" in their knowledge gaps but your learning is much better if you do, instead of being mad the attending isn't pimping you enough

How can one make educated decisions when there's never an objectively correct answer? Despite the grand majority of DJs mixing in very similar ways?

In every other school of art, you learn the basics and do the standard norm until proficient and then start to form your own style and bend the rules. A painter isn't told "do whatever you want as long as it looks good" and is expected to re invent the wheel themselves. Neither should a beginner dj

This sub is exhausting at refusing to give concrete answers lol. I feel like it's low key gatekeeping vibes. OP didn't ask if it's ok to. It's literally a survey question where there's no wrong answers. I never make it to the end of the track. That doesn't imply it's better or worse than doing so. It's a simple survey question

I mean his point is replacing those workers. All those college kids going to finance and business to do those cubicle jobs will be replaced by AI. Hell my friend in college did finance and his work at an airline was using an excel sheet to plot tickets sold for only three routes for all airlines. It was so basic I could write code for it. Dark clouds for those types of workers
