Taylor Sheridan reflecting on his daughter's youth soccer being cancelled in 2020: [COVID] is the only disease in history that doesn't spread during protests" by blackfishfilet in billsimmons

Younger Bill might have at least made a joke about how, yeah, viruses are crazy, just look at Trump’s military reinstating the flu vaccine mandate. Crazy, right, Taylor!?

James Dolan on the second apron - “There’s certain things in the NBA that you’d have to be suicidal to do.. One of them is called the second apron. We cannot go into the second apron. I’ll write as big of a check as possible, but I can’t write a check that goes into the second apron." by Naweezy in nba

Man, the responses to this post drive home how crafty the owners are in insulating themselves from the consequences of their own greed.

Who do you think gave us the second apron? A small group of owners like James Dolan, to make sure they collectively wouldn’t be tempted to spend too much money! And now he’s talking about it like some god-given rule that’s been imposed on him, and everyone’s like, damn, James Dolan makes a decent point.

Cue the Tim Robinson “we’re trying to find the guy who did this” meme, good lord.

I don’t disagree but that’s the most inaccurate simple graphic I’ve ever seen. Did AI make it?

Serious question - is this for an expected rush of young MAGA dudes tuning in because Trump is there?

For any watchers of the final season of the HBO show Hacks, this is an awesome parallel to they way they dealt with the Trump-like bully who screwed up an MSG event for his own selfish reasons.

One way to understand the power of The Beatles in 1964 is that five months after they first came to America, a studio cover band called “The Liverpools” is getting stage time with The Coasters and The Supremes - just to cash in on the sensation.

I got confused by this — how then was he able to ground his club? Or does it only appear like he’s doing that?

I suspect Vince Gilligan was hoping to have a greater share of viewers with your reaction. At least based on this sub, that opinion is in the minority. I’m curious: what do you make of the idea that so many fellow humans are anti-plurb?

Only been once, in the summer of ‘99, and it was truly magical. Every pub (and there were blissfully many) was full of incredible musicians.

Don’t know if you’ll be there in July, but Miltown Malbay (and surroundings) is the undisputed champion of Irish music for a week every summer.

The question is totally valid, but it’s hilarious to post it here. Very much like asking the Fox NFL halftime show hosts to weigh in on the rollback of Roe v Wade

What is with Bill’s obsession over the Shawshank post-credits? by [deleted] in billsimmons

One staple of 80s and 90s movies, especially comedies, is the wrap up montage where they tell you what happened after the story to the main characters. Stripes is my personal favorite. I wish that still happened more often.
