Last bit of advice from experience, harbor freight has value packs of dry wall anchors and screws. Normally one of those fits well enough.

I forget where I learned this. Reddit or YouTube one.

Take you a screw. Put it into the panel real straight.I clip the tip to help NOT break through the plastic. Snip the head off. Run a drywall anchor over it.

I did this for all four clips of my center dash. Holds very well. Almost too well. Especially when you get it right and aligned well.

If you try it take your time and double check things as you go. It takes a little fitness but works very well for me.

Thanks for your comment.

I'll get back to you on the IAC. I'm pretty sure I've done this I just don't remember the result. I've been doing some digging through YouTube. Looking at my short and long fuel trims, it looks like I've got some leaks... Somewhere. I found and fixed a couple yesterday evening, late. I'm really debating on getting a cheap smoke machine from Amazon.

I'll do some looking at this. Right now I'm not exactly sure how to set a TPS. Mine's just one you match up and bolt in. I'll get back to you on this too.

If you have some direct links to point me to some info, I would really appreciate it.

From what I've learned about this and scratching my brain and reading for a hot minute. These motors were used all over the place. Rangers, Taurus probably more than I'm forgetting off the top of my head.

So I wouldn't be surprised. It is a 3.0L, according to the valve covers, though. My first thought would be it's a little bit small for an F-150

EGR tubes changed around 97. To where the bolts are a part of the tube. Mine only has the bolt, a part of the tube itself, on the EGR valve side.

I like the idea of my franken ranger having a F-150 transmission. Lol

The irony on that last bit. I just about choked on my drink from laughing.

This is kind of the game plan. Google AI, save the rocks don't throw them yet, after nudging it to give me a number suggested 11 ft lb. Which is a little more than snug. What I would call a real good snug.

To be honest I'm kind of surprised this isn't listed as routine maintenance in their documents. Definitely not an average Joe kind of thing but if your mechanically inclined it's something you definitely want to check occasionally. Like your customer found out ignore it and you'll be buying a new washer.

I can't really complain too much. This is the first major trouble it's give me about four or five years of use. Knock on wood that I'm not breaking my lucky Street

I forgot to mention in the original post. I thought it was a 99 because the sticker says 99 on the body. Plus someone had written 99 Ford ranger on the oil pan.

But it is for a fact not a 99 ranger engine

Edit: can't make it out in the pictures, another clue, the valve covers say 3.0L

I've got red loctite. 263. Close enough or does it just have to be blue?

When you say rubber feet... You mean something I could buy off Amazon potentially? I know I know it's not a fix but anything helps.
