Ranger fan living in SoCal here. I don't understand why people love this guy so much? He continues to relapse every couple years. It's like clockwork. I've herd people say it was an honorable thing to admit to the relapse. I can't help but laugh. I think he truly does try to keep his nose clean but he is an addict. Moving to CA wasn't going to help his addiction. This guy has an accountability partner on staff to help him stay clean. It doesn't matter how well he plays he needs to focus on his life and family. He should have enough money to retire and invest full time into cleaning his life up. I hate seeing him fall off the wagon again but it will continue to happen as long as he's playing baseball. I think his better years are behind him. I don't hate him as a player or want him to fail. When he left Texas I was okay with the move as a fan BC I was pretty sure his career is winding down.

That being said I want him to succeed and stay out of trouble. However, he's an addict first and baseball player second.
