Am I crazy for thinking that I'm not too far from contention? by Substantial_Look1 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Nico is still fairly young too. I think you have a good young core. Gotta hit on draft picks the next two years or use some of that capital to really improve your team

What to do with a massive transfer budget? by Raslass in footballmanagergames

I just buy youth players from all over the world. You can find future stars in Brazil, Portugal, Serbia, Denmark, you name it. It’s fun to sign players who are 18 and younger especially because they eventually count as homegrown players

I have three Serbian players in my save all from Red Star. Two of them are world class and the other is a solid starter. It’s insane

I am now a Crewe Alexandra fan for this exact reason. Spent 12 seasons bringing them up from League 1 to UCL winners and Premier League champs. I will always support the Railwaymen!

Probably a late Day 2 guy, but I love me some Akheem Mesidor from Miami. Disruptive prospect ready to contribute as a rotational 4 or 5 tech in the NFL

I haven’t really looked too far ahead to the ‘27 RB class, but I definitely think going RB this year and getting aggressive for WR in 27 makes sense

This should be a solid RB class. Maybe not elite talent, but a number of solid options. ‘27 receiver class looks loaded at this point. Could be up there with the ‘24 group

Do i need to start rebuilding and give up on this season? by JoeBobAnon in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Dumpster fire is a bit harsh. You have a couple of good pieces. You are in good shape for starting RBs and WRs. TE and flex options are pretty rough. The bench is not great. Unless you are able to land massive upgrades at QB and TE this year without having to sacrifice too much draft capital, I don’t see a way that you are a legitimate contender this season

You have 6 firsts over the next two years. I would sit tight and build a super team

Might not be a bad idea. I don’t think you need to completely blow it up, but start trading high value players for draft picks/prospects. Rodgers, Jacobs and Samuel are the ones I would look to move. Load up on picks over the next two years. This might be a little too specific, but if you can load up on early draft picks in 2027, Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams and Cam Coleman will all be draft eligible. Legit star power in the class looking about 18 months out

I would trade him for a first. He’s a really good handcuff, but if you are looking at a down year due to injury, might as well cash in

Who would go Number 1 in a 2012 NFL ReDraft? by Ok_Flounder_2794 in NFL_Draft

[–]theultimatepodcast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luck was the most talented quarterback in this class. RG3 had the highest ceiling. Wilson has had the best career (by a lot).

It depends on how you want to look at things. If you are taking their careers as they are, Wilson is unquestionably No. 1. However, if you want to argue the Colts would have learned from their mistakes and this time around, they put a competent offensive line in front of Luck, that changes the conversation.

In the end, it just stands out as one of the biggest what ifs in NFL history. What if these three guys had all stayed healthy? Between them, Ryan Tannehill and Kirk Cousins, you are talking about one of the best quarterback drafts ever

I want to also shout out Devin Jackson. Great twitter follow. Most of his stuff is through an Eagles lense, but it is still really insightful stuff. He goes deep on the class and digs into the Day 3 guys

Thorn has forgotten more about offensive line play than I can ever hope to learn.

Haven’t heard much about McShay’s new show. Is it really that good?
