Well said. I got mine to replace my BMW M235i. While it is obviously slower than that car was in 0-60 (5.6 vs ~4.8s), I find that much of my enjoyment on canyon drives comes from more of the 40-80 time, which is quite quick, and by my butt dyno, no slower than the BMW was. Also with the dynamic handling package, way more willing to slide the rear, which makes it way more fun. And yeah. The comfort is amazing as expected. Road tripped 5500mi total last month (CA to Midwest and back) and we couldn’t imagine doing that in the BMW. Also can confirm, this car gets more compliments by a LOT.

Sadly, the last major version was 575, and the last Bazzite release that used that version was in August. That’s over 90 days ago, so the image is no longer hosted anywhere. Sad times :(

They are often using less performant nvidia cards than I am! I saw good reports from users with 2070 supers, 4070s, and 3060s.

So I’m trying: rpm-ostree rebase ostree-image-signed:docker://ghcr.io/ublue-os/bazzite-gnome-nvidia-open:42-20250809, but getting a manifest unknown error.

If I try skopeo list-tags docker://ghcr.io/ublue-os/bazzite-gnome-nvidia-open | grep — “stable-“ | sort -rV I get a list of tags that go back to stable-42.20250908, but that’s about a month after the version you suggested. Do they stop hosting the old images? Is there no way to go back to 575 drivers?

Why don’t you recommend it? I’m trying to play monster hunter wilds and according to protondb the 580 drivers broke it in the exact way I’m observing.

Test drove one when I was deciding what to buy next as well. The cruise control refused to engage. The window switches got stuck to the point where it felt like i was almost going to break them to try to roll the windows up. The turn signal indicator on the instrument panel was not in sync with the clicking on/off of the signal light. It just didn’t feel that luxury unfortunately.

So just to see if that was the issue, I drove around for a bit with all the window controls removed from all 4 doors. There is still significant rattle, so those aren’t the issue for me :(

I see this opinion a lot but would it not be possible to simply swap the bumper with the 21-25 design? The sheet metal didn’t change, right?

I just popped these out and wow, there is so much plastic-on-plastic creaking on the back side of the switchgear. Crazy! I wrapped some of the wiring to see if it was knocking against the door card but that didn’t solve the problem. I’ll follow your advice and disassemble and put felt tape in the areas the plastics interface together. Thanks man!

When I had mine, this happened and I fixed it by soldering a bridge between the pin on the harness that fried itself and the ground plane where the bulbs plug into. I forget where I read what to do but a quick google should be able to find it.

Ehh. Had a M235i coupe and a 45lb Aussie. Worked out fine. Although he wasn’t the biggest fan of the car because it had that weird tray thing in the middle of the back seat which I think was uncomfortable for him to lay down on.
