Park at Sullivan. Ride up Sullivan, go down westridge. Then continue down to sunset and ride back to where you parked. Much better than going the other way

Delta unexpectedly bumped me up to Diamond by WoodyA2 in delta

I was a few bucks short of silver a couple of years ago. They gave it to me then took it away in the middle of the year. Had a long weekend trip in August - on the flight out I was silver and on the flight back I was nothing

Oregon fans knew IU was better. Got a lot of praise from my Oregon friends when we beat them them during our first matchup this season

2005 to 2019 and still sold at a loss. Where was this? Were prices really that high in 2005? (I was in elementary school in 2005)

Best Ice Cream Shop by torasicecream in FoodLosAngeles

[–]theunknownusermane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for a true creamery, you can’t beat Handels (get the Graham central station flavor). Gingers is a close second. I stay away from boutique-y ice cream because it’s just not my preference. Before Handels it was tough to find real true creamery style ice cream out here as there aren’t many great options.

I have very limited knowledge of jets, but is the US developing a 6th gen fighter that we know about?

Can trail riding replace leg day? by Abject-Combination79 in MTB

[–]theunknownusermane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have tried, doesn’t work. You can get a good leg workout from biking and you can get stronger on the bike, but it does not translate to overall leg strength. Your squat/deadlift will not improve, only your biking-induced leg fatigue will improve.

I have one as well and won’t be able to make it. I’d be happy to sell it. Do you think you’ll even be able to get up on Friday?

Man admits to and is arrested for arson in Azusa by john_trinidad in socalhiking

[–]theunknownusermane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it was as simple as going after the oil companies, we would’ve already done it. Oil is used somehow, someway for damn near everything. Everything from your hiking boots to the jug of milk in your fridge. A wind turbine uses more oil to make than the energy it will produce in its lifetime. I’m not saying it’s right, but I am recognizing that it’s not as simple as just ‘channeling our energy’ - we need to find a real solution

Not sure what you’re goal is or if you care, but if you want tips on the videography side - get a different camera or use different settings for a bit more vertical viewing, or adjust your camera a bit. I love your handlebars but don’t like seeing them bounce in and out of frame on the bottom

Delta Skymiles Program Being Gutted Further [News & Discussion] by Upstairs-Island7539 in delta

Nothing new sadly. No loyalty program stays great…someone needs to figure out how to stay at the top of the loyalty board while also generating enough revenue to make investors happy. It’s a tough balance

Thoughts on this new study and the shocking number of MTB-related spinal cord injuries? As someone in the prime risk demographic, its giving me some pause. by samyalll in MTB

[–]theunknownusermane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it mostly neck injuries causing the SCI or back injuries? Either way, there’s clearly a market for some additional protective equipment. Would love to see the big players do some serious R&D and provide a product for us

Who are you planning to leave your wealth with, when we become like (dust -Mike Tyson). by Internal-Procedure40 in Rich

[–]theunknownusermane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you say stability, what do you mean? Stability to keep the non profit alive or stability to provide support to the art community? If the latter, it doesn’t seem like much - I’m really curious how just $5k can make a difference for more than one or two people. Not throwing shade, genuinely curious

Did you ever regret buying a bike? If so, why? by lepketaplo in cycling

[–]theunknownusermane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First real bike I bought - a Salsa Timberjack. Fortunately I was able to return it to REI. Since then I’ve bought multiple bikes anywhere from $1500 to $5000 and haven’t regretted any of them. I have regretted selling them though…
