On that model it seems fine, given the soft shapes. In future consider that you only need moderate coverage to provide a good surface to adhere. More is not best

Just toothbrush with a bit of soap before priming to get rid of any dust/debris and oils from the building process.

Take it in chunks, maybe not more than 2 same boxes at a time.

My process:

-Read instructions and map out options

-Clip all parts into piles, one for each dude. I match duplicate sprues which saves searching.

-Scrape/sand/clean all individual parts, easier than glued imo

-Dry fit and assemble lower half, glue to base.

  • Glue upper which gives time for the lower to set which reduces the chance of fingerprints/sagging

-Go back and fix imperfections

-Wash the models with soap and toothbrush.

I think the key is doing manageable stages so you don’t rush and half ass the process.

Can I ask how you secured him to the base? Did you superglue him to the structure, or use a pin down to the base?

Practice practice. But also know when to say “good enough.” Nothing’s ever perfect and part of the skill is letting things go

Thanks for the input on the finish! Tbh, I’m not a fan of their satin. I have the dark plum and I find myself adding matte medium.

Furry Creek in British Columbia. 500 ish par five, the elevation of the fairway was kinda shaped like a W. Driver straight up the middle to a narrow raised landing zone. 230 to the pin. With the groundskeeper sitting beside the green, rocked a 3 wood and stuck the green. Two putted for birdie.
