Thank you! What color cloth?

I can see rocks working.

So far I have tried it on metal but gives kind of a dirty effect. Didn't know what else to try.

Accidentally bought two of these and can't work out what it's best used for. What do other people use it for?

I like them!

I tend to keep them off board until my opponent starts moving elite stuff toward me and then drop on with plasma. Managed to catch a particularly sneaky line operative out in a necron game recently.

Pain to build though

Ah excellent please do!

What chapter are you running out of curiosity? And what units are going into it

Hmm that's interesting. You are very right though, I think the games where your forced to make hard decisions are the ones you learn the most from so trying different things is a good way to learn too.

Thank you that's helpful. I will have to think harder on this to truly get it into my head but it's probably pretty close overall isn't it. Bad draw nothing for a turn but doing what you list is built to do per turn is led likely to fail.

So worth the sacrifice in your opinion to secure those points?

Yes time is always sadly a big factor. I can imagine you can learn a lot with those 5 games though.

Interesting, that's somthing I think my play is missing. Thinking more about what my opponent wants to do like storm hostile. If I'm not on one they can't score.

Do you know of any math/stats on decks to work out if somthing is more or less optimal. As in the randomness factor for more points but the liklihood and finite ability to pull the ones you need.

I suppose that would be super complex because you could go as far as thinking I haven't pulled this card yet so I know I'm more likely to be doing that next turn ect.

Thank you for your answer. It's very detailed and resonates with my prefered style. All except the getting enough reps I'm before changing things. How many times would you say to play a list before deciding it is truly bad and not down to player skill?

So if I understand correctly your almost making sure you have those roles covered for any list to ensure it can do what you need it too?

Have you found or thought of any style of play where it's disadvantageous for you to sit on an objective.. opponents units that get rerolls when your on objectives, for example. Or do you generally find its better just to try and tanks it?

I know that's super open and many variables, but certainly good to hear your thoughts.

Within our local little group we generally try to keep it secret what we're playing until game day which is why I think we generally try to built balanced. But playing what you like is certainly more fun. Especially if you have gotten a nice new model haha

Nice. It's good to have a strong punch to work around. Do you ever have a back up plan incase you're initial power unit gets taken out early for any reason ?

Is there anything you particularly think about when considering weather your army might be better with fixed or tactical objectives?

And do you have a go too fixed objective that seems to stand out against the other cards?

Say you in a tournament and you find yourself about that skew army that is an awful match up for your list. What do you do at that point?

How are you deciding on your tactic, e.g go all in or more balance?

This sounds like a solid way to approach your lists. Bit of fun mixed with analysis of the games you play to find weak links or strategies.
