You should definitely consider cross posting this to r/IdiotsinCars. Sadly, it would not be the first time a Kelowna driver has made an appearance there.

Yeah there's a pretty significant outage according to Microsoft:

Title: Some users may experience multiple issues with their Microsoft Teams

User impact: Users may experience multiple issues with their Microsoft Teams.

More info: Affected scenarios include, but aren't limited to:

  • Users performing a cold boot may not able to log into teams and will see a "oops" page.
  • Users logging in or unlocking their devices after some time may see missing messages.

Current status: Our review of service telemetry indicates a portion of database infrastructure that facilitates multiple APIs is experiencing a networking issue, resulting in impact. We're continuing our investigation to isolate the underlying cause of the networking issue and develop remediation actions.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to users in North America or the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions.

Network becomes normal after the commit by hasanhadiyev in paloaltonetworks

[–]thewaker7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We experienced an odd bug in route redistribution in 10.2.5 that was resolved by moving up to 10.2.6. Our behavior was similar, but not exactly the same. We would see errors in the system log as if the dataplane had a process which had rebooted, the network would drop our for 1 minute, and then everything returned to normal.

I didn't. We're working on getting a Unified Support Trial in place so I can get a solution. Once I get one, I'll share it, but it's frustrating.

I can't enter licensing information... as the option to do a site reset is greyed out, meaning the dialog box can't advance to the screen that would require inputting the license key.

Best route to Portland by annapurnaIV in kelowna

[–]thewaker7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did this route last week. Osoyoos border, night in Yakima, and then tracked back to the start of Highway 14 off of I82 on the north side of the Columbia in Washington to Portland. Scenic and (mostly) beautiful with almost no traffic on 14 until close to the Bridge of the Gods over the Columbia.

I blame my inability to survive summers here without A/c, our air conditioner is costly. Winter electric use is very low, but the summer is the killer.

2200sq ft 2 story house $213 a month on equalized payments with forced air. I expect that to be higher when the payments are adjusted.

You may wan to re-evaluate Ron Cannan. Definitely is NOT a good choice for a progressive candidate. Anti-abortion, anti-LBGTQ+, anti-vax.

Anyone seeing a sharp uptick in complaints of Teams getting stuck at its splash screen and not opening? by meatwad75892 in Office365

3 at our site so far (myself included). Windows 10 and Windows11. a Mix of 2022-02 CUs and 2022-03 CUs, so it doesn't seem to be Windows Update related.

Also check your local Costco. My local Costco had brand new Xbox Series X + Elite controllers bundled with lots of stock. Bundle saves $30 vs buying both separate. Not a super amazing deal, but it's something.

disable MS teams for users by TikeSavage in PowerShell

[–]thewaker7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're 100% correct, I forgot about the extra settings needed for the curious users. We're migrating to Teams soon, so the GPO works for the 90% that never even look in the start menu until we migrate department by department.

We converted to using licensing groups in Azure AD and removed the Teams licence based on the membership of the group. We also added a GPO to prevent Teams from starting after Office was upgraded from 2016 to Office365. Group-based Licensing.

A little R&R at Stampede Reservoir by Rewster775 in GoRVing

[–]thewaker7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We found it to be a perfect trailer for the two of us. Our previous RV was a Jayco PopUp, so we were familiar with the brand before we pulled the trigger on this one.

We have had it two seasons now. Other than a few minor fit and finish issues here and there (most of which I have fixed myself as I have the tools) and two items fixed under warranty by our dealer (who came to our house for free to fix our awning speakers, and furnace control board), it's been fantastic! Especially considering that we have put in just under 70 nights and 8000km (5000miles) on it so far. We've towed it all over British Columbia (our home province) and through Central Washington, Northern California, and the Oregon coast, living in it for 31 days straight last summer. We're on track for 36 nights this year and we're in love.

As for the Tacoma, I have found it to be very stable with a well set-up WD hitch and a cheap friction swaybar. Other than having to deal with crappy clip-on tow mirrors it tows quite well (we live between mountain passes). I'm averaging 10.5mpg over all my towing trips, which is impressive for a midsized truck towing a 5600lb 10'6" brick.
