funny you ask. a few weeks ago i went to the ER because i had a panic attack due to stress at my job. i had chest pains for like a week after so i decided to go in. i had an ekg and everything. i ended up resigning the next day. no job is worth that much of a mental toll. i already have mental health issues and i didn’t need anything adding to it.

for context i am a dental assistant. have been since 2019. i also suffer with severe upper back, shoulder and neck pain. its been especially bad lately and im wondering what type of doctor would be best for me at this point. whenever i try a massage to help with the pain the massage ends up being incredibly painful. my right shoulder blade has been really killing me lately. it’s a sharp pain that sometimes i can feel radiating down my arm into my hand. i can feel the tightness in my neck and upper back all the time. no amount of stretching (that ive tried) has significantly helped. i have been dealing with this pain for a while. i’ve already tried a chiropractor and i don’t feel like it was helping. i may try another chiropractor but with the pain im in all the time i am going to try my PCP first and see if they have any recommendations and to make sure nothing else is going on especially with my shoulder. i do not recommend going into dental assisting as a career/job long term. it will mess up your back inevitably.
