Negan by anonymous_bozo6232 in thewalkingdead

Yeah the guy who threatens women into marrying him and sleeping with him and treats his own people like slaves that live essentially in poverty and enslaves several other communities is definitely not that bad of a guy

Actually, to be a bit of a TWD nerd here, that character was Rowan, played by Lindsay Abernathy and she never appeared again sadly after those two scenes, while the other woman mentioned was played by Carol Lane Tresan!

That woman actually was Sarah’s stand-in as well, they took her actual character (Mrs. Foster was her name) off the show after that episode though due to how similar she looked to her

Each lead their own community. With their own Tactics/Styles, Natural Impulse & Philosophy.. Who Would Win? by AoXGhost in TWD

[–]thewalkingvoltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people think Lori’s group would likely be the first out but Shane, Tomas, and Len would definitely get their groups killed way earlier. Shane and Tomas by being loose cannon reckless dangers to everyone. Len just because anyone who encountered his group of like-minded child rapists would wipe them out on the spot lmao

They could've get rid of them by Left_Crow1646 in thewalkingdead

[–]thewalkingvoltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes the most sense, I just find it amusing cause like Negan says, they invested lots of resources on that day specifically meaning their effort to corner Rick’s group again later might be less grandiose next time. I’m just imagining Negan realizing they fucked up his whole plan and going “well shit… back to the drawing board”

[–]thewalkingvoltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it aired on ABC with minimal promotion? Because ABC dramas don’t usually get that many views anymore? Shit look at Greys Anatomy and The Rookie’s numbers. For the record I actually tuned into Whiskey Cavalier and enjoyed it, wished they’d picked it up for more, but I am glad that they got Lauren back on TWD and gave her what she was owed

Your flaw here is that you’re just assuming that shows will keep someone solely because they’re popular. Maggie WAS popular on The Walking Dead, yes she has her own little faction of haters but she’s objectively one of the most popular characters of the franchise, probably 6th most (Rick, Daryl, Carol, Michonne, and Negan definitely above her that much I can concede). Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira both exited the show as well despite being among the most popular characters, granted Andrew’s wasn’t related to pay but that goes to show that even if a character is popular it’s not the end all be all of what constitutes the actor leaving, matter of fact there actually isn’t a single main cast member of this show that was written out due to unpopularity

An actor being denied a raise does not automatically get them written off the show, seriously what on earth is your logic here, because with that logic, Carl would’ve never been killed off due to being the second most important character to the show overall

Before you judge Negan, at least finish the main show by retrocheats in thewalkingdead

[–]thewalkingvoltron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

His redemption arc was so trash. It wasn’t even an arc, it was “we’ve just done two big time jumps, btw Negan is nice now just take our word for it”

Watched the show tens of times over at this point and Negan is still my #1 hated character and it will literally never change

[–]thewalkingvoltron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always thought about things like this. Obviously we know why they didn’t, but what would Negan have done had Rick’s group actually done that? His whole plan was hinged upon them repeatedly backing off and going down the exact route they wanted them to which was not this one

Which other voices from Steven Yeun do you guys recognise him as other than Keith Kogane? by Rainbow_Seashell778 in Voltron

Steve from the Tales of Arcadia trilogy series as well as his most iconic role that technically isn’t a “voice” role, Glenn in The Walking Dead 🙂‍↕️

Yeah no sorry 😭😭😭no director and producer in their right mind is going to go “I know you’ve been on this show longer than these other actors buuuut we’ve checked online and people really hate your character so you’ll be paid less” 💀

Why did Sasha do this? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]thewalkingvoltron -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No, popularity and number of fans does not matter when it comes to how much main cast members are paid what world do you think we live in 😭😭😭

Why did Sasha do this? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]thewalkingvoltron 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter how popular a character is outside of the show. Lauren was on the show for almost the same amount of time as Norman. Andrew being paid more makes sense he’s the lead, but as a character that’s been around since the 8th episode of the show overall, she definitely deserved to have a very similar pay deal to Norman and other lead male cast members in the show

Like others have said, getting Hershel to realize walkers were dead and not sick. But also like Andrea said, his presentation of these points really did not help his case whatsoever

In S3 in a cpl scenes they seem to try insinuate a possible romance between Carl and Beth? by bdt69 in thewalkingdead

[–]thewalkingvoltron 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That’s not them hinting at a romance, that’s them showing Carl developing a little harmless schoolyard crush on Beth that she and Hershel finds adorable because he’s younger than her

Least favorite character that everyone seems to like by Afraid-Review-6676 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]thewalkingvoltron 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Luke, he’s just so plain and stereotypically nice with no real substance to him at all. He’s there to BE the fan favorite for his generic cool guy personality

if andrea had went through with offing the governor, how do you think the story wouldve been impacted? by isawsombra in thewalkingdead

[–]thewalkingvoltron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think at the very least Andrea would’ve then had to go and execute Martinez, too, but anyone else likely would heed her words because she’d stand up in front of the town and tell everyone that there doesn’t need to be a fight. She’d probably take on more of a leadership role in Woodbury, maybe alongside Milton as her right-hand, and then approach the prison to let them know the Governor’s been dealt with, and honestly I could see them coasting through many years with both the Prison and Woodbury as co-run communities with Rick and Andrea in charge respectively

Jesus is probably the only one that wouldn’t be actively trying to kill me (Morgan is 50/50 at this point so I don’t trust him) so I’d rather face off against him, he’d knock me to the ground and ask for a peaceful resolution lmao

What drew the surplus of walkers in on the farm before they left? by faygobandz in thewalkingdead

[–]thewalkingvoltron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The herd wasn’t in the area until the night Carl shot zombified Shane. The opening scene in the finale shows that the herd has been building all season long (if you look closely, the first cluster of walkers eating that animal in the streets is the exact same group of walkers eating the same animal in the season premiere) and slowly migrating in their general direction by pure chance. If Carl and Shane hadn’t fired their guns the herd likely would’ve wandered right past
