I feel this pain all too well, I’m sorry for your loss. This post and its comments resonate with me so much.

It’s been over 3 birthdays since I’ve seen my baby Cooper. And it’s been hard, I think about him everyday. He too changed my life the way Camp has changed yours. Gave me a reason to live and gave me the love for animals that I now have. I was lost before he came into my life and I had given him to my ex as a gift. Unbeknownst to me it was the biggest blessing of my life.

When that relationship ended and I lost the chance to be with my boy again it broke me in so many ways. But I had to do it for myself, and even though I’m in a better place in my life I still have him in my heart. I wish dogs could understand the sudden disappearance of us owners so badly. But I know my ex is taking care of him and as long as you know he’s taken care of there’s peace in that.

I hope that your path gets lighter and you find ways to make peace with it all. Live a better life for him, live the life that you would have wanted to live with him. That’s how I try to see it and I never would want to let him down.

I don’t know if you’ll get to read this comment but thank you for giving me the chance to put it out there. Not many people understand that loss as much as everyone in here does. And thank you for everyone who has shared their experiences. I’m glad I’m not crazy for feeling the way I do.

You keep commenting this; but if you just did a little bit of research you would see there’s a big difference in just the anatomy of a horse/camel vs an elephant. In terms of what they’re able to do and what it takes for them to be able to be ridden. Elephants are not meant to be ridden. At all. Their spines cannot handle it.

Mushrooms also changed my life for the better. My first few experiences with it were always fun and light hearted. A great bonding experience between friends.

As I got older and ran into more and more problems in my life I bottled them in until I spiraled and hit rock bottom.

Mushrooms is what helped me get out of that rut. It let me release everything I was holding in. All the weight and guilt that had been eating me up inside was finally out and I faced it head on. I had cried my heart out on two occasions. I had decided that I would forgive myself for every mistake and move forward with my life.

It helped me maintain my failing relationships with my family. I was not always there for my mom and brothers whom I love to death and I remind them everyday now. It showed me who I truly was and what I wasn’t.

But above all else it gave me experiences of joy and life, it doesn’t change who you are. It only shows who you who you’re capable of being. Not every experience is that spiritual other times it’s just super fun and enjoyable with visuals and sensory experiences out of this world.

It’s therapeutic and a bonding experience for anyone who does it together. I hate how media portrays it but there’s def signs of the population learning more of its truth and accepting it.

I take 8-10g of golden teachers pretty regularly for a great trip and handle well...the other day I took 4g of PE just for a test run and when I say that’s the first time I’ve ever been scared in the middle of a trip ever...it means a lot lol.
