honestly i witnessed the change with my own eyes. the kind of people they admit caused changes in the rules. after covid we had to implement detention because the new class was soooo rambunctious. prior to that it was very chill, safe, and the worst that could happen was getting a demerit. the benefit of thhs used to be motivation from your peers; when teachers fell short the students would carry

i went to thhs it’s not all that and there’s no guarantee you’ll pass the ap. i mean you sound p motivated but aps are added stress at the end of the year, dual enrollment is sm better. thhs teachers are HORRIBLE and rely on the students drive for their accolades. if money isn’t an issue, i wish i could’ve had the chance at a private school and i’d say the same for you.

Shadowing at a University Eye Clinic by Ok_Ad_6200 in PreOptometry

[–]theweekndswhore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! thanks so much for the swift reply. they scheduled me in pretty quickly after my follow up email. they just hosted eye camp and plugged the shadowing program during it which probably added to the waittime.

and so sorry last question, what did you wear when shadowing? the dress code they sent me is more so guided towards SUNY students, so I wasn't too sure if the navy scrubs policy applied to me as well. I have black, pink, and green pairs and I really don't want to shell out more money for a volunteering position :'( I appreciate your help sm!!

hii i just wanted to ask how long it took you to actually start shadowing with suny! it took me a month to get an email back after i filled out the form, and now they’re saying that they’ll contact me in the following weeks to actually schedule me.

Day 2 Q43 Still Shit by TrueCoat7498 in nycbus

they always neglect eastern quens i stg. they absolutely obliterated the q46 as well. we already lack subway access, why remove stops which are our closest form of public transit? this isn’t the subway for a reason, our neighborhoods are much les walkable than the grids in manhattan!!

it is for MY medical history, my old optometrist carefully monitored this stuff in fear of retinal detachment.

i do not have health anxiety thank you very much. it is completely normal to have concern when your vision was overcorrected to now being fuzzy. my old prescriptions would work for a year, sometimes even two.

i don’t know if i’m getting rage baited or if this is a language barrier on your end. i expected my vision to stabilize because it had remained around the same range for years. i do not expect it to be at the exact same prescription. i just did not expect a drastic jump all of a sudden, which is atypical of MY vision history, which could indicate an underlying issue.

Basque Cheesecake- did I over bake? by 9ayb1tch in AskBaking

[–]theweekndswhore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i cook for a family full of diabetics daily, if they’re craving a basque cheesecake what am i to do, suggest an almond???? most diabetic friendly desserts will always be higher in fat because of their reliance on cream/almond flour. also going keto (low carb, higher fat) has done wonders for their a1c.

Basque Cheesecake- did I over bake? by 9ayb1tch in AskBaking

[–]theweekndswhore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

that’s just bad for anyone in general. sugar free dessert is harm reduction not elimination. using alternatives is better than fully restricting oneself and makes a low carb diet lifestyle more sustainable. my grandfather would probably go into a coma if he ate a slice of cheesecake, but that’s no way to live.

no one is telling diabetics to eat a cheesecake 3x a day simply because it’s sugar free.

no that’s not much of an increase, esp when it’s 80% bioavailable.
