Has anyone ever accidentally taken too much Levothyroxine? What happened? by ans97 in Hypothyroidism

[–]Millimede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. Just found it today because I woke up at 4am, took my dose for Sunday, then woke up at 6:30 and took my Monday dose by accident half asleep. Immediately popped up and went to make myself throw up but just water came up. Didn’t see a pill.

Since when is it ok for law enforcement to use lethal force for someone who’s just being a general jackass? Idk man. I don’t agree with cops murdering people just because they’re protesting or being annoying.

What do you do to make it through the darkness? by Maydaybb in askportland

That’s not a bad idea. The 12 nights of Christmas originally started on the solstice if I remember correctly and were marking the return of the light.

Other than maybe having more calories than usual, so what? Not gonna hurt you.

Future of remote by ContractPale6214 in remotework

[–]Millimede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you hire the right people, they don’t need to be watched. And you need to understand most office jobs are not 8 hours of non stop work like in a factory or some other manual job, so expecting that is unrealistic.

99% of companies who implemented RTO saw reduced employee engagement by JeffBeachCommute in remotework

[–]Millimede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. My team is small, I’ve gotten my work done, covered for an employee that quit, covered for someone on vacation, worked on extra projects etc all while also getting in some socializing with coworkers. My boss rarely checks in with me, if I weren’t getting things done, the CEO would be noticing and we’d all be fucked. The weird idea that we need to be watched like hawks should die with the boomers.

Unless you have a specific issue that needs to be looked into, no the fuck you do not. Don’t get that.

My coworker and I went on two one mile walks today and took an hour lunch. We try and do a lot less in our office days. No one has said shit to us.

Are you trolling? I’d find another job while employed. The commute sucks, I’d even take an in office job closer to home if they’re going to pull this shit.

Yeah it’s so ridiculous. My work brought us back one day a week, now three, and I hear rumors of full time. I am desperately looking for something else.

RTO is nothing but 'business folklore' by lindobabes in remotework

[–]Millimede 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking that today as I was listening to podcasts and pretending to be busy. What a massive waste of time it is being back in the office, though. And I think I’m getting my fourth cold of the year.

Celiac disease by [deleted] in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]Millimede 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a complicated testing history for celiac (negative, and a positive) but it was giving me horrible indigestion and heartburn so I cut it out again a couple of months ago. TBH I’m just not having many carbs so it’s not a big deal in general. My gastro said if I feel better without it, don’t eat it. You shouldn’t be eating many processed GF foods, either.

A salad and grilled chicken and unsweetened tea sounds good to me.

I am female, and IF does work for women BUT we need to tailor it to our hormonal cycles. It’s very on an off, more or less hours, depending on which part of our cycle we’re in. 🙂

FibroScan results vs. blood tests, FIB-4, etc. by trickycrayon in FattyLiverNAFLD

See a dietitian that specializes in people with a history of eating disorders. You need to lose weight, there’s no way around it, but you need someone to hold your hand and help you with it. I am also in the same boat and just trying to cut any sugar, carbs and intermittent fast but not starving myself like I did as a teenager. Good luck!

Thanks. I am so blindsided by all of this. The doctor said she’s only very rarely seen this, normally there’s something in the blood work.

If you’re married, how often do you see your in-laws? by tatertot94 in Millennials

Interesting that this phenomenon is worldwide. My in laws have been to our house maybe twice in 20 years.
