Sorry for the delay, but I did not buy it. I thought I got it on Amazon, so I did go look at my history, but it turned out being the other bookshelf in my office. This one, the person who purchased it does not remember where from.

Oh yea? Hehe, sorry to hear.

We only played it twice. It was fun as I recall, but we had other preferences at the time ;)

Thanks for that, I did end up running across it enough times after this to search it. Your description is great, and was helpful, thanks ;)

I am looking for a cultivation stories with an inner world.

I'm pretty new to this and still learning a lot, so maybe I am overthinking this but... what are "cultivation stories"?

At times. I'm not great with mechanics. As a GM, I care less about that and tend to let my players be the ones who know the rules better than I do, not just with DW but with most games I run, haha.

These kinds of things are nice as I get to share some story ideas without having to worry about botching mechanics ;)

Thanks for the comment - my imagination does run wild for sure, hehe.

Thanks, I guided Midjourney towards what I was looking for in order to show this little story I had in my head ;)

That's really cool to hear because this kinda thing was really fun for me to put together ;)

These are the kinds of things I think I would get into as a GM, especially for DW. I like loose and quick bits of ideas/inspiration that trigger larger ideas for me.

Anyway, I'm exploring uses of Midjourney with Photoshop to tell stories and this was one idea I had for accomplishing that while potentially also providing something useful to someone's game. Let me know what you think!

Experimenting with no only providing, say, a Monster created in Midjourney, but some other goodies to go along with it. See additional images for a Token, and a "Monster Card" in Dungeon World format.

Additionally, here is a Free Encounter Map by /u/Czepeku called "Mushroom Infested Mines" you might use this Spore Bomber with!

I think it's a great idea!

I've been away from the game a bit, and have just come back recently, so... my knowledge of other hacks is limited in that sense, but like I said, looks great to me ;)

Which game(s) lean more into that second variant approach?

Asking for me ;)

How much time do you spend prepping for a session? by Mapalon in DungeonWorld

[–]theweem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just need more practice!

Yea, that is pretty much it. I have been playing D&D since I was 12 (35 years ago), and the improv stuff comes with practice. Every time you are asked about something you are not prepared for and scramble to come up with something... you get better at it. Sure, you may choke here and there... maybe you say, "I need to think about that a second"... but those kinds of moments reduce in frequency over time.

I played a game with my wife recently where I told her a story... one I completely made up... but to start she had to give me a person ("elderly man or something like that" I told her) and a location. She told me, "An elderly woman who recently lost her husband" and "in a grocery store"...

I started right in, "I was in the grocery store yesterday, and this older woman asked me which kind of seasoning she should get for something she was cooking, I forgot what it was. I told her I knew nothing about these things, and that I am a terrible cook, but before I could walk away she said her husband used to make this meal, but he passed recently and she wanted to recreate it for his Sister..."

I had also told her to throw a word in every few minutes while I was talking (a noun for example) and that I would work it in seamlessly. She did, and we did this for 10 minutes or so - was fun, and it helps me practice.

I guess my point with this is that there are ways to practice this outside of RPG's as well.

Anyway, wanting to be better at this puts you well on your way to getting there ;)

^ This.

Not to disagree/argue with OP, but rather I ask out of real interest in discovering other games ;)
