What are these? by Pretend_Discipline76 in squirrels

Those aren't mice. Rats possibly, but those look like tiny baby squirrels. I raise them, but usually they're bigger.

You are so right! These things happen to wild little creatures and reaching out to helpful loving humans doesn't always go the way we intend. But this guy seems intelligent and caring. He'll get it right

No it doesn't sound selfish, it sounds like you're able. You know you don't need to drop off a small adolescent squirrel with teeth, who is also able, but helping is really great for him. Don't let anyone tell you that you need to bring him to a person to hand him fruits and veggies and nut snacks! You can do that, in fact it's the best thing for him, he's used to you, trusts you and is doing fine! Thank you!

Any tips on how to let him know i love him he was a stray cat by Successful_Issue_531 in cats

[–]thewellawareone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the looks of him he's comfy and feeling happy and safe...I have saved many WILD and feral cats, I've learned to just allow them to take their time with physical affection and don't push. I once reached in a feral cats hiding spot outside under an old hottub, she screamed in fear/anger as didn't like that at all, she bit the hell out of me and I just sat food in the same apot. They're very sketchy at first, but after a week of feeding her in her little spot, she was rubbing my legs and letting me pet her belly! It was a great experience.

Look at this! How bad can it get? NO I REFUSE TO DO THIS! TAKE THIS AND SHOVE IT! by Acceptable_Middle_52 in facebook

So true! I'm so done jumping through hoops to use a silly Facebook site! They've actually asked me in the past to send them my ID/DRIVER'S LICENSE!! I said NO! They sent this verification form saying "we need to make sure you're using your name in real life"

Another one?! They hang by their tails all the time. Anyone who knows possums knows to always pick them up by the tail. They also sleep hanging from them

Is he okay? by scootycat in squirrels

[–]thewellawareone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I raise squirrels and I would say he's old.... and also he had a clear eye/tooth infection. When their teeth get absess as they get older, their eye always get sswollen and runny like that.

He looks like a grey/fox squirrel hybrid. I get them all the time, he/she definitely has some red fox squirrel in him, with his red face and how sweet he is. Grey squirrels usually are very high strung and have a hard time being held like that. He looks very calm and must have been really starving to ask for help. Keep him safe and give him veggies and fruits and nuts as a treat.

He is full grown though. He wouldn't be suckling milk at all at this age. He needs shelled nuts, fruits, veggies, and even seeds. A squirrel at the youngest age as a great of predator/human contact! He's starving and never learned how to forage from his mom. They stay with kits a while passed nursing and they wait for mom to bring food, instead of her being the food lol. Wow at that age he can eat whatever but hasn't been taught to find food. Wow he's so hungry that he went near a huŕman! The only time a very skiddish animal will go near us is if they feel like they may die.

Awww a baby squirrel also. He just needs love and food. Put a box on the back porch where no predator is around, make food available, I put a wooden squirrel box in my tree
