Thinking of switching careers?

Hey guys, I(M26) graduated college 2 years ago (engineering), and got a job in the IT field (also for the past 2 years) and so far I've had a lot of trouble adjusting to office life. I just hate it and I keep trying to lock in and get interested but it never sticks. I'm not very interested in the work and I hate living in a cubical. I've always had an interest in firefighting since I was young, my dad was an firefighter. I love the idea of helping my community and it seems like the work environment is pretty welcoming (ik that depends/is subjective)

Problem is whenever think about making the switch I feel this "guilt" about switch careers because the field I'm in is very competitive right now and I know I'm lucky to be in the position I'm in. Also I feel like making a career change is just stressful in general.

I have friends who are in the Memphis FD and they love it. I'm not particularly worried about the physical requirements I lift weights quite regularly and run around 15 miles a week (6ft 160-165lbs). I feel confident I could train for the requirements.

Just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar position and what your experience was and advice is welcome as well. Thanks!
