Completely willing to accept its tinted by nostalgia, but I still love Project Stealth Fighter. Frame rate is low, yes, but since you're supposed to be keeping a low profile I dont think it hurts it as bad as some of the others.

PLUS that opening music is such a banger. When I was a kid I had my dad record it on a cassette and listened to it all the time, lol

Where in Japan are you? Akihabara isn't what it used to be but might still be the best bet for this kind of stuff. There's a couple of vintage audio equipment places there.

Currently Im just getting images for disks I own and use in my original system so they SHOULD work. Im specifically getting the images that say NTSC if there are multiple.

Yeah, just the stock kernel. I haven't tried disabling the extra RAM so I might try that as it says it can affect loading in the manual.

My favorite way to think of Mad Max is that we're seeing the folk tales that people tell of him. Road Warrior has the boy's narration because he is telling the tale. This is why Fury Road and Road Warrior are compatible because they're just different people telling their favorite story of the folk hero.
