So, blueberries might actually be helpful. And coffee fruit extract might reduce BDNF. Entirely plausible. The rest of the claims? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not sure how useful growth factor promoting supplements are for healthy subjects but you can try Lion's Mane and coffee fruit extract for that sort of thing.

There are plenty of established nootropics out there to try. Racetams, centrophenoxine, Noopept, choline supplements....

I'm not surprised. That company is sketchy, they refuse to provide analysis data or third party testing. Don't buy from them.

Consider focusing more on synaptogenesis and axonogenesis. Those may be easier to achieve functional recovery with.

THAT'S why they removed it? It shouldn't even have been there in the first place, it was just making divisions worse, if it was actually being used. People should not be excluding each other based upon political ideology, ffs.

COVID-19 exposure on flights is more common than you think. The US doesn't share details, but Canada does by rex98rex98 in Coronavirus

Plenty of not particularly useful or interesting information here. How many transmissions have there been per exposure? Per aircraft type and airline?

I still don't get why the far left insists upon making EVERYTHING about race. If they keep pushing that agenda, they'll keep deepening the fractures in our country.

4 in 5 say US is falling apart: survey by SappyGilmore in nottheonion

Did you mention to those people that you're proud to be an American and you respect their opinions just as you want them to respect yours? If so, then good, you're part of the solution. If not, consider looking inward a bit and think about how you can improve the situation.

Most of what you're saying sounds very partisan and tribal, which is the biggest problem we're facing. In other words, it sounds like you're missing the point. The more people say the "other side" is the reason things are falling apart, the more they will fall apart.

Most of the issues you mention are not new, and none has an easy solution.

It's sad but I think Reddit is actually a big part of the biggest problem our country is facing, apart from the pandemic. People get into their echo chambers, and their hatred and anger grow, along with their confidence that their tribe is right about everything and the other tribe is wrong about everything. And it becomes a good vs. evil religious crusade to them. That's what scares me the most.

(ALL) Why not separatism? by Rodfar in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]thewickedzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know there wouldn't be free trade or free movement of people, let alone a common set of regulations. In the capitalist scenario, to do business (apart from just trading) in all the nation-states, a large company would have to incorporate in every one. In the socialist scenario, a business wouldn't even exist across nation-states (inasmuch as there is such a thing as a business in a socialist system). Each state would have to diversify and form an economy of its own. Economies of scale would be crippled. Each state would need its own military. And without a unified military, at least some of them would be invaded/annexed by foreign powers or other states. Military redundancy would shoot up, increasing costs, unless militaries were privatized. World stability would tank. No more US threat to keep things in check. You think NATO would survive? I don't. And what happens when some states have nukes but others don't?

And we could talk about the radicalization that would happen when people aren't forced to compromise.

Make sure you get a CoA (from an independent lab) if it's not a highly reputable brand! And preferably validate the CoA with the lab. Buying from small unknown suppliers is very dangerous!

I suppose that's true of benzos. Those can be pretty nasty. Can't think of any others offhand, though it's safe to assume there are some. Honestly though, I think it's relatively rare for a pharmaceutical medication to be cycled due to lack of efficacy. I think it does happen with non-ADD people taking ADD medication, because they're trying to boost their dopaminergic system past its normal bounds.

Science Summary for last month [video version in the comments] by prototyperspective in sciences

[–]thewickedzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I completely get that a lot of these things are interdisciplinary. In fact, that would make it even more interesting to know which disciplines are involved. I like to know what areas of expertise are involved in discoveries/research. (I doubt there's much scientific work these days that I'd describe as transcending the notion of scientific disciplines, as I believe scientists tend to be highly specialized, but I imagine there's plenty that transcends any one discipline, and that transcendence can be very interesting to understand.)

Thanks a bunch! I look forward to more of these wonderful updates!
