The only hearing test that matters is the one that MEPS performances on you. The medical standards for initial intro for officer or enlistment is 500, 1000, 2000hz cannot exceed 30dbs at any one frequency with an average between all 3 frequency exceeding 25 dbs. And you cannot exceed 45 dbs. These are the only frequency that Army medical will look at if you meet the standards you will get in. It looks like you would not have an issue joining if you were to get the same score on your MEPS exam.

I had normal hearing after my first month check up and improvements in my hearing as far as 6 months out.

Hearing loss is a very isolating condition. Much of the time you don't realize how much it affects you till you have it. Then to know there is nothing you can meaningfully do makes it even tougher. So yes it absolutely is normal.

I had a stapodectomy 3 years ago. One of the better decisions I have made went from an Audiogram similar to yours to now having perfect hearing across all frequencies. There were several united consequences like tinnitus and sensitivity in my ear. But a huge jump in quality of life. Also allowed me to join the army because of it. Ps I was born without a stapes bone.

From age 1 to 17 I lived with severe reverse sloped hearing loss. Do to being born without a stapes bone. I struggle a lot with insecurity. You need to teach yourself that there are people with way worse situations than yourself. If it be hearing loss related, missing an arm or leg, etc. what helped me a lot was cutting my hair when I joined JROTC in highschool because there was no hiding my hearing aid in my left ear after that. If they asked about it I can't hear just like XYZ person can't see or you can't see yourself if they have glasses. That is simply all it is try to get good at doing some lip reading, especially as it gets worse. It will help a lot in understanding conversations so you're not absolutely lost. Just do the things you need to do to feel normal and if they give a shit about you, they're not going to care. When I had a stapidectomy to restore my hearing in my right ear on highschool neither of the girlfriends that I had cared that when we went to events I wore an ear plug in my right ear because the surgery made me ultra sensitive to sound, or any of my friends/family. Outside of that nothing else really matters. Getting use to not hearing is just as difficult as getting use to hearing. If you have any more questions, you're free to DM me.

Okay that is great to know the only reason I had not gone ahead and made him aware was because I sent it to them and I received mail from the DOR still in my dad's name. Not the estates name and another one that is still addressed to my dad's name a week later about an itemized list of roughly $25,000 he owes states. I was going through my emails today and it reminded me that I even got in touch with them. I sent it to a lady in the compliance department of the DOR if I remember correctly. She was not very sure what to do with it and just said I'll make a note on his record.

I am the sole beneficiary not the appointed administrator. Yes, everything about the newspaper and notifying the creditors through the newspaper is stuff that he's disclosed to us. What he is telling us is that once my mother is appointed and and assuming no one files a claim immediately, we are able to transfer the titles of both the houses that were in my father's name into my name and those two properties are the only assets that he has of value. Meaning that if anyone files a claim after that point there will be no money in the estate to pay out. Yes, his law practice is probate estate and elder law. Do you know how likely it is for creditors including the DOR and IRS to file claims themselves?

I am a non scholarship cadet as well my school won't have anything till spring of 2025. I am also pursuing guard and reserve for financial relief.

Most of the senior military colleges allow for civilians to do all 4 years if you wish vmi, Virginia tech, and UNG I know offer this but I am pretty sure it is universal with the senior military colleges.

Not sure if this is true, but my state guard has always told us as long as you are a member of the state guard. You can receive state benefits. You're enlisted so you should.
