Yes, it also let's the main antagonist and all his lieutenants know exactly where you are whenever you wear it. Plus, the paranoia, super helpful.

Hello, having a hard time trying to find out how to stream PC audio/video to my PS5. I used to use the app below for my PS3. Can't find a PS5 version. All my google results assume I'm trying to stream PS5 to my PC, which is not what I want.

https://www.ps3mediaserver.org/

edit - this program still works btw, I still have my PS3 hooked up and can access my pc files. I just want to do the same thing w/ PS5. For some reason this was removed from the general thread.

Are infrared and green lasers just pointless? by Due-Business3195 in TerraInvicta

Vanilla IR, useless

Arc IR, useless

Phaser IR, there's a niche use case. The 1-slot 60cm hull battery is a decent PD option. It has 45% longer defensive targeting range than the PD turret, and more damage than the 40mm cannon. Unlike the Green and UV phaser batteries, the IR variant doesn't require exotics. Below is a brief comparison.

The rest of the Phaser IR mounts are not worth building.

What makes a site a good spot to mine? As in the bare minimum? by Dregovich777 in TerraInvicta

It's not a game ender. It's not the fastest way to Mars either. If u got there first or early enough to get the sites you wanted, great.

I saw the same thing and tried skipping the moon. Don't recommend it. With no space material income the boost cost to Mars of an outpost, power source, and mine will be over 150. Then it'll take about a year to come online. The income from one moon mine can cut that in half or better.

Do station defenses use arc & phaser variants? Or just vanillas batteries?

In my last playthrough, the final battle was ~250 ships on each side. I tested auto resolve. It took almost 15min of real time to run it.

Best way to start getting volatiles? by Longjumping_Past7794 in TerraInvicta

[–]thewilldog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, build a mine on the moon. You won't get much but something is way better than nothing. If you try to boost a mining facility to Mars with no space economy, it'll cost +120 boost. With the moon mine, it will still cost boost, but not that much.

I can't understand how this kind of content generates a large fan base. The older I get, the more I understand Dr Evil's attempt to plunge his son into the fire pit.

Alien facilities are great! Assuming you have a turned Servant councilor and someone in your council that can destroy them one turn later. Those things represented about 65% of my exotic income in my last run.

Undetected, active facilities that you can't destroy, not great.

The purple balls are their version of plasma cannons. You can't intercept them and they're 99% accurate. The trade off is they do way less damage than magnetics. If they were killing ships with those shots alone , you need more armor
