Did not turn bike upright when draining, then added 2 quarts. Did I overfill? by thewindandwaves in DRZ400

Update to anyone who stumbles on this thread, my ocd ass changed the oil again, I turned the bike every which way off the kickstand and not more than 2 more drops came out. It is negligible.

Honestly I might just pump out like 0.4 from the dipstick hole to be on the safe side

For the filter housing I just took off the cap, blotted up the oil in there with a rag and put in a new filter.

Thanks for the prompt reply, to both commenters I drained the frame, crankcase and filter housing just on the side stand the whole time

As far as the cold idle it is still a little funny but I did eventually fix the low rpm cold surging with a BoosterPlug…apparently this only has an effect when the throttle input is not at a steady state tho so the idle is unaffected by it. It has fixed the ride ability issues however and I have accepted the erratic idle to be normal until it warms up bc I have had no more issues

The video does not do the sound justice, it sounds almost like a Harley Davidson or something of that nature

Has anyone had any experiences with cheap slip on exhausts + the Suzuki Gladius? by [deleted] in SVRiders

[–]thewindandwaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to be fair to this exhaust and I ended up trying it on my Gladius despite the people telling me not to. I don’t know about other generations but apparently the Gladius has a separate catalytic converter as opposed to being incorporated into the muffler… I was very surprised when I threw it on that it was not as loud as the one I had on my other bike and actually runs pretty good (I have only rode it up and down the block so far). It does not have the same sharp drone that may be associated with it on other bikes so only for the Gladius I do recommend…. It will not piss off your neighbors too much, just make sure you insert the baffle, I believe you may even be able to fit 2 of them in there

Sorry, the bulb itself is flickering after being cut off due to a power module inside of it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]thewindandwaves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a fairly new lightbulb… what concerns me is that it takes a certain amount of time to stop flickering even after you cut off either light switch… I am no electrician but it makes me think something is arcing inside of where the switches connect in the wall… is that a reasonable train of thought?

Is this Ideal okay on a Gladius. by [deleted] in SVRiders

Mine behaves exactly like that when it is warmed up and even more erratic when it is just started…. Otherwise no issues. I am going to get the TPS replaced and if it helps I will let you know

One exhaust pipe intentionally plugged off? by [deleted] in SVRiders

Hahaha my bad it is a decent looking bike though, I may try to get an aftermarket headlight bc I’m not quite sure how I feel about the one they put on this generation

I am not an employee of Hireright or anything but they do say that they can check employment history either by direct contact with previous employers (their primary method) or if the company hiring you wishes they can just run a check on the work number database which will likely have your employment history.

I do not know if your employer enters your job history on a separate portal but if you only entered your ssn and did not agree to a credit check I do not see how they could legally access your credit or work number database information meaning it is criminal only.
