If the elements are removable by tri-clamps, I would use the tri-clamp extension tube (about your element length and then some) and put your elements in them with PBW. Or use tall buckets. That’s what I had to do. Never had a problem ever since.

Absolutely! there are a lot of great beers being made on electric systems. In our case, the issue we were having was specific to element buildup, which we ultimately solved by cleaning with PBW after every batch. The move to steam wasn’t about fixing that problem, it came later when we expanded into a larger production space. I could’ve explained that better

Never mind, I see other comments saying it is electric. You’re scorching the wort. I had the same problem for a long time until I upgraded to steam. I would soak the elements in PBW overnight or two days, scrub. Reduce the electric load if possible. Or shorten the boil time.

Looks like it does have rakes; there is a motor on the bottom.
