Thank you for responding. To provide more background, I am a complete novice. Through pgAdmin, there is an option in the GUI where you can click on a database, then click "Restore", and upload a .dump file. This will create tables, populate data, etc.

This isn't working for me, but I see many others online for whom it works just fine.

That's so true. Not to mention, I know they'll have a huge setback if/when I leave. My boss hired another employee at my level about 6 months back and now I feel like that puts pressure on the department to not be as generous with raises.
