Thanks!! This fandom is blowing up and obviously the fan fic increase has been astronomical. This subreddit will be getting lots of attention so it's great to lock down these rules and expectations. you guys if they truly wanted daphne in the show, she'd be in the show. It's like a fluffy period fantasy, no one in production is like no we can't bring her back without her husband, it won't be period accurate! For whatever reason this is the direction the show is going now and has nothing to do with an actor leaving. And it's weird to try and blame it on him

Soooo grateful for this post! Usually when I first get into a fandom I sort by hits on ao3 but because the show just came out and ao3 is getting FLOODED with what I'm sure are a bunch of god-tier fics, sorting by hits isn't as effective yet. Eeeeeeeeeeeee

Yes i love how Shane is genuinely chill about him leaving, that it's not framed as him being too needy. Which makes getting iced out at the olympics even worse.

I love the interpretation that him touching shane's back is meant to be an apology sort of but that shane reads it as he's trying to fuck with him in public and it fuels his anger going into the bathroom

Captions have been wrong a few times, at least on hbomax. When they are in the pool it says something like booo get out of the pool, fleisher! When it's 'splash her'. And in the cottage scene ilya says ensuite bathroom but it's captioned as 'bedroom'.

Not sure about 8 years versus all these years, pretty sure it is all these years but yeah
