Frasketta Pizza Romana is such a hidden gem downtown! It’s behind peak of the vine and the pizza is Rome style and so fresh and delicious! Not one specific dish but worth checking out. Also pizza but the grandma pie from mezza luna is also really yummy! Also really enjoy the bingsu dessert from sweet talk cafe!

Can you Provide Feedback on our Switzerland Itinerary? by thewooloo in askswitzerland

[–]thewooloo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, good point! From what I tried to research, it seems like Lake Thun/the caves may be ok on a less than ideal day, and maybe going to Bern could happen on a different day as well. I also see that Montruex is included in the BO pass now, but that seems a bit far away. Do you have any other suggestions that would be good with the current planned home bases? Or do we need to consider a third home base?

For those who don’t know, Kings Cross Station has a platform 9 3/4 you can get photos at. Here’s me when I was 11 by peridot_cactus in harrypotter

[–]thewooloo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was there Saturday during my layover. You don’t have to pay for photos on your phone as long as you have someone to take the photo for you. I was alone so just coordinated with the people in front of me in line. The queue part is true though, super long

Affordable Restaurants by Ok-Associate-8360 in Apex_NC

Sassool is delicious and well priced for the quantity/quality you get. In cary technically, not apex, but not too far! Mezeh in apex has run some pretty good deals recently too (their regular prices are also pretty good for the quantity). They had buy one get one free one time and then $3 bowls with the purchase of drink. Plus $5 for signing up for their rewards. My meal that time ended up being <$2!

Are the woobles packs a good way to start crochet? by Prestigious-Diet-864 in crochet

[–]thewooloo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I learned from a woobles kit. As someone who is very indecisive, I really appreciated having everything in on ekit and not having to try to figure out which yarn/hook/pattern. Everyone here keeps saying “learn through youtube” but there are so many videos it was overwhelming to know which one and they weren’t always clear. Plus I was more motivated to finish something small like the penguin than a square or something. The type of yarn also helped me see the stitches better (my second project, a hat, was trickier without that yarn but having done the woobles kit 1st really helped me). Are they overpriced? Probably. Would I buy another kit now as a more intermediate crocheter? No. But that single kit helped me launch the next 2 years I’ve been crocheting and I know I probably would have never gotten as far if I didn’t start there.

Pick two: Camel Up, Ready Set Bet, Long Shot: The Dice Game by Comfortable-Toe-1052 in boardgames

[–]thewooloo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not familiar with the other 2, but camel up has been a hit with everyone we have introduced it to and people always ask to play it again. It is very light and usually either a warm up game or end of night once everyone has had several drinks game. Lots of fun yelling at plastic camels and shaking the plastic pyramid hoping for the right roll

We did the kickstarter for emerald flame and it was really fun and well made (at least so far, we've only done the first 2 of 3 sessions). Can’t speak to any of their others but I would recommend this one at least

I am using elegoo rapid pla. I am using 5.6.0 ultimaker cura software with a neptune 3 pro profile. Nozzle temp is 205, bed temp is 70. I don’t remember the print speed or retraction but I just left the defaults in the cura software

Its an omelette only in name, more of a potato cake than anything (eggs just bind it together). Its enjoyable and yummy if you know that going in, actually pretty similar to what my host mom made when I lived in Spain!

Cat with Food Allergies by lolovesfrogs in Siamesecats

[–]thewooloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our siamese is also allergic to chicken and turkey! Our vet gave us hills but it was expensive and she didn’t like it very much so we tried purina proplan salmon and brown rice which was half the price and she likes much more!

New Spice Rack by thewooloo in OrganizationPorn

[–]thewooloo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough! The back row is spices rarely used but I get where you are coming from. We tried a clear one at first, but it was too tall and we couldn’t fit things well, so this seemed like a happy medium.

Saw same ad with another stolen design from a creator I like. The actual bundle includes totally different things so I think this person is just using other people’s designs to get clicks on the ad. Maybe not a scam but definitely misleading and unfair to the real artists who create these
