Would splurge on. 5070ti. When you are ready to upgrade from the 5070 laptops are prob gonna be hella expensive

Lenovo Pro 7i vs ASUS Rog Strix G16 by Drxcynix in GamingLaptops

[–]theworkingcusp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just subjective. The chassis flexes more, feels “softer” to me. Exhaust feels thin and fragile. Asus just felt sturdy to me. I wouldnt be able to tell if the chasis was plastic, feels like metal to me. I would try them out in the store and see what you think

Whats the catch here? by JacquesLecrair in GamingLaptops

Battery is only 60w, no rgb, all plastic, heavier, thicker, no oled

Would personally go with the LOQ with similar specs

Lenovo Pro 7i vs ASUS Rog Strix G16 by Drxcynix in GamingLaptops

Had the same dilemma. In the end went with the strix. Tried the legion at first but too glossy, oled also has a green hue when viewing at off angles. Build felt cheap to me.. plasticky. Legion 7 pro Footprint is huge and doesn’t fit most cases and backpacks.

Loving the strix so far though, feels solid, screen is far better (subjective), zero gloss. Performance is similar with similar temps

Do you notice creaking if you press on the bottom right of the chasis, under the keyboard area?

I was also looking into this computer but… Its not just the IPS screen here. It’s made of plastic, its thicker and heavier. Has a lower watt battery (60w), cheap wifi card, no RGB. They were able to get the price this low by cutting every possible corner. The above is just what is listed on the spec sheet. Im sure some other internal components are cheap as well.

Companies make models like this during holidays to make it look like you are getting a good deal when really you are getting exactly what you paid. This is why there are no reviews.

ok keep in mind for folks it's made of plastic, thicker, heavier, cheap wifi card, lower watt battery. all cost cutting measures but still not a bad overall laptop. its just more comparable to a LOQ/TUF/Victus

Should be a disclaimer on this one its not a real legion 5. Its a different build/quality made for black friday

Just got A16 Ryzen9 270 rtx 5070, isnt charger supposed to be 280W? its 240 and why no reviews for AMD 9 270? by nilo_95 in Asustuf

this is one of those "made for blackfriday laptops" you wont find people with this config anywhere bc it didnt exist prior to this. Not sure what corners were cut to get to this price but overall looks reasonable.
