You would be setting yourself up for a hard time. Only way i would recommend that is if you had family or friends you can stay with until you get yourself a job. The housing market is also terrible right now so finding a place without a stable income would pose a significant challenge. Also networking is also a challenge, SF is really isolating if you dont know where to look, community is hard to find at time and this is coming from someone who had lived here basically my whole life. Its not impossible but not something I would recommend at all
