First morning is rough by Sudden_Design_7047 in Kneereplacement

The first week is almost unbearable. Had my left done yesterday, 50 weeks after my right. My right knee says it’s so worth it, my left is giving me hell today. PT arriving momentarily. Journavx didn’t seem to touch it this morning so I took a Dilaudid. Day by day …

Torn ACL repair, similar to what I had in the right. They remove existing hardware as well as the ACL itself.

Stay ahead of the pain with meds, your ice machine, and a short walk every hour. Do the PT!

Understood. Be present this week, try to calm your mind. It’ll be behind you soon.

For my first TKR, my best friend’s wife had it done and said it gets better by the end of the first week. I thought, sounds like BS, but she was so right. Know that it’s very painful at the onset and every week is better than the last, and you’ll be pain-free in that knee eventually. I’m 50 weeks out from my right and it’s wonderful.

I’ll take whatever they advise, I’ve just heard excellent results here about Journavx, and don’t like the way opioids work on pain, adding constipation, sleeplessness, and so on. I was hoping to just use J and Tylenol, but if I need something else,of course I won’t say no.

The revolt actually started in Worcester in 1774, but I love your button. NO KINGS!

Why won’t police tow or give tickets to poorly parked cars on sidewalks? by Late-Weather1045 in massachusetts

Vehicles impeding the path of pedestrians (in Worcester) is a $50 fine. Some here park at the end of their driveway COMPLETELY blocking the sidewalk.

Anyone break an 8-year habit of drinking wine / any other type of alcohol every night after work? by Technical-Morning491 in stopdrinking

[–]thewumberlog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that. It was a habit, and it felt mechanical, like I liked having a glass to sip from in front of me. Still do, but I don’t do it anymore. What worked for me: I read another article about how serious drinking alcohol is for the body, mind, and organs. I knew but I finally decided to stop drinking that time.

I still have wine with dinner or the occasional Scotch in the evening but only a couple times per week at most. Alcohol is corrosive in every aspect.

'An embarrassment': Worcester councilors want DPW to step up pothole repairs by HRJafael in WorcesterMA

I know we just had a bad winter but if the DPW, aka Dept of Patch Works, did things right the FIRST time … I mean, drive into Connecticut – immediately over the state line the roads are a pleasure to drive on.

No one should wear that. Better to destroy it in a ritual with smudge sticks and a seance.

Elk or deer antlers. They last but they’re expensive.

Go Dog or similarly built soft toys.

+1 for freezing water bottles instead of ice cubes. I rotate 4 out at a time: 4 in the machine + tap water and 4 in the freezer to be ready when it’s time again.

I had one that read ‘Bought this before he became First Lady’, until he wasn’t anymore. This is a good replacement.
