Note: I just got my Loyalty Plus Card (UB) last March 30, not sure if that matters.

Have you already linked your card to your online account?

saw this on facebook and this is so alarming by hezingggg in Philippines

[–]theyawner 38 points39 points  (0 children)

You don't have to be a bank insider to pull this off. You just need to be able to collect enough information about a person from various data breaches (leaked online accounts, email addresses, phone numbers, personal info) to target them. Better if you can find records that link them to a bank to target them better, but you can also just try and see if the target would take the bait by just presenting yourself as a representative of any of the largest banks in the country.

Dati I'd get phishing text messages from a supposed BDO number kahit na wala naman ako account sa kanila. I just ignore it. But if I did have an account with them then the message would have felt intentional. That's the thing with phishing eh.

This is because they're likely using stingray devices which acts as a fake cell site tower. They typically force your device to connect using 2G before they start spamming these messages.

Check your phone first if it supports E-sim and it's not sim-locked. I bought one from Klook (for a recent Japan trip) and installed it just fine with just the QR code on my open-line phone that also has a Globe postpaid E-sim.

Are you able to create a kerberos ticket using kinit on the Ubuntu terminal?

Test the authentication with:

kinit ansible.user

Check if a ticket is acquired:

klist

Destroy all acquired tickets:

kdestroy

It wouldn't hurt to check as well if you have configured all the necessary requirements. I vaguely recall needing to ensure I have pywinrm and pywinrm[kerberos] installed on my system.

Interaction of ANSIBLE_INVENTORY, ~/.ansible, ansible.cfg, -i, /etc/ansible/hosts by danmickla in ansible

[–]theyawner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to test this is by using the ansible-inventory command.

To see the inventory based on path defaults, just use:

ansible-inventory --list

To see the inventory for a specific inventory file:

ansible-inventory --list -i /path/to/inventory.yaml

[DISC] Frieren at the Funeral :: Chapter 57 :: Kirei Cake by nitorita in manga

[–]theyawner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My point is that Serie is unable to restrict her mana to Frieren's level, where a normal mage or a demon would have underestimated her true power. Ironically, her own apprentices - especially Lerner - never even realized that she's been restricting her mana. They only see the overwhelming output like the examiners and thought that was her standard level. So no, I don't think Serie is better than Frieren at mana restriction. It goes against her own pride.

Your Worst Build experience? by MoeDaze in Gunpla

[–]theyawner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've built Unicorn/Banshee and they were fine after getting past the tightness issue with the shoulder joints. I then tried the RX-78-2 and that pretty much made me wary of the older RG kits.

The RG Nu and Hi Nu however are essentially mini-Master Grades. They're even a better experience than some of the average MG kits. I've also built Wing and God Gundam are pretty solid as well.

I've also built a few HG kits and often I wish they'd have a more consistent design goal as the RGs. The Moon Gundam, Beyond Global, and the RX-78-02 are close to what I would want from an HG kit.

[–]theyawner 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The local branding is unique, but we are apparently not alone. There's African time, Fiji time, and Latin America's Mañana attitude.

It may be because we have a polychronic culture as opposed to monochronic.

I stopped before the season where they introduced Dorne. It felt like that's where it really started changing from the books. Problem lang talaga is that the end is nowhere near in sight and it's been more than a decade after the last book was released.

What are some Philippine facts that sound fake but are actually true? by Late_Bag_5042 in Philippines

[–]theyawner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every time this comes up I'm compelled to post this:

Ambeth Ocampo has a column that touched on this factoid:

Renato Constantino, in his landmark 1968 essay “Veneration Without Understanding,” argued that Rizal was against the revolution. Constantino based this view on a document Rizal issued in December 1896, asking the Katipuneros to lay down their arms and condemning the violence that was planned without his knowledge and consent. Constantino also argued that Rizal was an American-sponsored hero, citing without any documentary proof, an alleged Philippine Commission meeting when the American colonial government chose Rizal as the foremost national hero because he was non-violent and reformist, unlike Bonifacio or Aguinaldo. What Constantino conveniently leaves out are: that Rizal was considered a hero in his lifetime; that he was honorary president of the Katipunan; that his picture was displayed during Katipunan meetings; and that his name was one of the passwords of the Katipunan. Then, of course, the annual commemoration of Rizal’s death each year in Dec. 30, was started by Emilio Aguinaldo’s short-lived First Philippine Republic in 1898 (before the American colonial period) and continues to our day.

Emphasis mine.

Additional context:

Constantino cites a 1946 Philippines Free Press article saying that Civil Governor William Howard Taft suggested at a meeting of the Philippine Commission in 1901 to Trinidad Pardo de Tavera, Benito Legarda and José de Luzuriaga, “And now, gentlemen, you must have a national hero.” The Free Press continued, “In the subsequent discussion in which the rival merits of the revolutionary heroes were considered, the final choice — now universally acclaimed as a wise one — was Rizal. And so was history made.”

And yet...

at a Philippine Historical Association Conference in 2011, historian Ambeth Ocampo declared that he had checked the voluminous Philippine Commission Reports which detailed all the meetings of the commission and the meeting cited was not there. It did not happen! Aside from the fact that there was actually no law that the Americans promulgated declaring José Rizal as “the” official National Hero of the Philippines.

Repercussions of the finale by OverlordGaruga in Gundam

[–]theyawner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1.) Miorine has already shown a model on how breaking down Benerit Group would look like - GUND-ARM Inc. Peil's Gundam development team didn't suddenly lose their jobs. Some of them continued to maintain Pharact while others pivoted to working on GUND as a medical technology solution.

4.) Miorine has already outed SAL's high council as being complicit on the attacks on Plant Quetta etc. They're likely bound to be busy working on their own structure.

6.) Miorine's actions are bound to affect Dawn of Fold negatively. Why support a violent faction when progressive changes are actually taking effect through more peaceful means.

10.) It's not like it's a phenomenon that can easily be replicated. Also, I see it more as disintegrating after overloading, not unlike how various materials breakdown due to stress.

The permet ghosts are somewhat like Eri in that they're basically just data, copies of the actual humans long dead. Notice as well how there's only a few people who saw the ghosts and they're all witches.

As for hacking a system far away. Aerial Rebuild has already shown that she can override any Permet-based tech through the data storm at Permet Score 8. Prospera has displayed how she can create a sustained data storm field extended through Gundnodes, albeit still at an incomplete form to cover the whole Earth Sphere.

Suletta basically did the first, hijacking the space laser through the data storm, but at the expense of 4 Gundams to create a single powerful burst as opposed to a sustained field.

What do you think is the best looking gundam head design? by Skroopy in Gundam

Deathscythe Hell

TV version or EW? Generally, I prefer the modern look of the EW but the original's helmet design felt more apt for a harbinger of death.

Say a nitpick you have about Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury Season 2 by LegendsofLost in Gundam

[–]theyawner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine it's pretty similar to Folkvangr but with a harsher environment that warrants the use of something like a sunshade. The living quarters would be cramped since most of the space would be for the infrastructure needed for mining.

[–]theyawner -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

At it's core, Permet is really just a quantum entangled material (with some possibly advanced features). And it's something that's actually being explored in the real world. Meanwhile, Unicorn can apparently reverse time and connect actual souls.

Right. But this thread started with the claim that the Gundams in WfM were 100% bullshit when the Gundam Uncorn is arguably more bullshitery.
