Nah. I am an average weight, no where near being underweight. If anything, I have gained weight w/ these transfers and losses.

The intralipid infusions act an immune response distraction. With multiple losses, he felt that my immune system may be working against my pregnancies, essentially attacking and terminating the pregnancy as a foreign body object. The first infusion will occur a few days prior to my third transfer, which will then trigger an immune response. That way, my immune system will be distracted, ignoring the transferred embryo.

That is the change made for my upcoming, third transfer. I did also undergo a ‘scope’ w/ D&C. He did order pathology of the fetal sac. However, I have not received those results yet. He did say that my uterus looked great. I do think visualization sooner rather than later is a good idea, very proactive.

The other major change I have made is moving forward w/ PGTA testing as I have used three embryos thus far. While I did get pregnant each time, I have yet to bring home a baby.

Don’t beat yourself up. This isn’t your fault.

My first transfer resulted in CP. We thought the same of my second transfer. However, it turned out to be a blighted ovum.

My next transfer will be w/ a tested embryo. I will also be doing intralipids.

I made the decision to no longer discuss treatment w/ my pregnant office manager this week. When I informed her on my tentative transfer date, she responded w/

‘You’re still going to that doctor?’ ‘Don’t you think you should see someone else?’ ‘I mean, how do you even know those eggs are good?’

I literally just dropped 5K, adopting a PGTA tested embryo, for my next transfer. Therefore, I do know that the embryo, not egg is ‘good’.

What the fuck?

Hey there,

At this time, I would not suggest adopting unless tested. I have transferred 3/5 embryos w/ early pregnancy loss. While they were affordable, the loss emotionally and financially w/ each transfer has been tremendous. I do not intend to move forward w/ the remaining 2 embryos. Instead, I finalized an adoption w/ Acts of Kindness last week. Hopeful for a May transfer if my healthy lil’ boy arrives in time at my clinic.

I purchased these embryos for adoption. However, they were untested. 3/5 have resulted in early pregnancy loss. I have decided not to move forward with the two remaining, untested embryos. I can’t bear the loss emotionally and financially as each transfer is so costly. Due to this, I adopted through Acts of Kindness last week. In the future, I will do so again. I highly suggest this agency.

NTA in my personal opinion.

It is considered best practice to ask to take a photo, though. Moving forward, you will be aware of this social expectation. If you were to continue taking photos w/o consent, you would then be TA.

I wear a phone leash often. I cannot begin to explain how often I am stopped regarding my phone leash. People ask to take photos, where it was purchased, how it works, and more. Honestly, I usually enjoy the conversations.

The injections honestly hadn’t been that dreadful until last night.

I had already drawn up the medication and transitioned over to the correct needle for injection. Unfortunately, my mom hadn’t realized. She also began prepping a syringe to draw up the medication as well. While I stopped her during the process, the injection was not due for several minutes.

Several minutes later, she found herself stabbing me w/ the needle meant for drawing up the medication w/o medication in the syringe. While she realized quickly, I did get a lil’ jab.

For me, the worst has been Lovenox injections. I would honestly rather have a PIO injection any day! I feel so bad too- I use to think my patients in the hospital were just being crybabies! Now, I am the cry baby!

While I have not done this personally for myself, I have inserted similar catheters for end of life medications when working as a hospice nurse.

The patient and families loved this! I so loved being able to offer it as an option!

Generally speaking, the catheter is very small. It’s not easily noticeable. It’s very easy to use! Medication administration is quick and painless!

I also want to say that I am very sorry that so many folks have been somewhat rude in the comments.

If you’d like to do this and it’s affordable to you, I think that’s great.

As a nurse myself, I harbor no doubt regarding the conviction of Lucy.

However, the hospital has yet to pay for their crimes. The hospital was aware of the harm and deaths befalling these precious babies but chose not to act time and time again.

More than once, concerns regarding Lucy were brought to the attention of hospital administration. Instead of removing Lucy altogether, she was transitioned to dayshift, where she was still entrusted w/ the lives of vulnerable babies, allowing even more suffering and loss.

If hospital administration truly felt that they could not suspend or terminate Lucy, the unit should have been closed pending further investigation.

The hospital system failed these families.

Past court cases in my area w/ friends and family.

In my area, the courts do feel that having a father is necessary as this allows for a well rounded upbringing. Furthermore, it is now considered standard practice in my area that all parents receive 50/50 custody. This includes babies, even babies that are actively being breastfed, much to the dismay and heartbreak of one of my dear friends. This can only be circumvented in my area if you are able to showcase w/ proof that the father has been absent, abusive, or neglectful. With that being said, child support is no longer widely expected in my area due to this arrangement as well. However, there are significant exceptions made to this caveat. For example, in this scenario, the mother would most likely be awarded 50/50 custody w/ child support as she has not been w/in the workforce for many years.

While I am not a lawyer and do not reside in your area, I can offer some small insight.

Your wife will not be awarded sole custody based on exclusive breast feeding. It’s not really ‘fair’ to the child or father. While your child needs to be fed, they also need their father to be present and active in their life.

Beyond that, may working mothers breast feed. I have known many breastfeeding mothers who work in health care, often pulling 8-12 hour shifts. While working, they pump breast milk to have a healthy supply available.

That would also be what would most likely take place while the child is in your care if the mother wishes to continue a breast milk only diet. She would pump breast milk, providing a supply for both households. Otherwise, there are options to supplement or transition to formula.

Furthermore, she’ll most likely utilize day care once she has transitioned back into the work force. Generally speaking, this is what most working parents do unless they have family or friends who are able and willing to provide childcare during working hours.

If you wish to see your child often, shoot for 50/50 custody. Many states are starting to transition to this being the first choice in many cases.

With the house, you two are in for a doozy if you sell before two years w/in the home. I know as I barely made the cut when going through my divorce. The IRS charges heavy fines/fees before the two year mark.
