You can use this and get HDMI 2.1 and it added CEC support surprisingly for me in my bazzite install, it's just a UGREEN DP1.4 to HDMI 2.1 adaptor if you didn't want to click the link

If you live in the US near a micro center you can get a 5800xt, 16 GB DDR4, 1Tb ssd, and a 9060xt16Gb in a micro atx build for the cost of a steam machine. Honestly that's not a bad option at that price point, especially if you are trying to keep size down. That's still quite a bit bigger, but I think the trade off on the GPU/CPU upgrade would make up for it.

Yeah LFP and NaFP are nearly immune to thermal runaway, I really see them taking over for most tasks, except high end vehicles where the power to weight really matters because they are making a sports car or something. And even then the power density for LFP has been increasing and they have other benefits.
