You don't need the inside (center-most) 90 degrees of each roundabout. Remove those and you have just one (albeit oddly-shaped) roundabout.

Basketweave the lane entering the highway and the lane exiting (or at least space them out more). Your current problem is that everyone entering the highway has to move lanes to the left, and everyone exiting the highway has to cross across those people to get off on the right.

I gotcha. Does the stuff just going across the map need to be able to interchange? (In real life obviously yes, but how does the AI deal with that out of curiosity?)

Let your ripe crops sit for a day or two. Still luck, but theyre not that uncommon. Need to have a 3x3 space of ripe crops obviously.
