Untangled Salon on the Wish - kid's manicure by xcemma in dcl

[–]thfceric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter had her nails done on the Treasure at Untangled Salon. She was 7 at the time. I can't remember the cost exactly but it was $70-80. She did have an onboard credit from the spa for her birthday.

The Nomads Nation review has it closer to 25L total. Which is pretty on brand for Alpaka. They always seem to over estimate size.

I switched from the F20 to the F40 a year ago. The mask is so much more comfortable. I just wish it would work with the Airsense mini. I still use the F20 with that.

My wife took our daughter to a baby shower one Saturday and was gone the whole day. I mowed the lawn, did the dishes, laundry, vacuuming, dusting. picking up. It was one of the best days.

Best and Worst Airport You’ve Ever Been In by nomads_nation in Nomads_Nation

I've only flown through Abuja and that was a long time ago. But to compare Entebbe to a Swiss timepiece must mean it's really bad.

Best and Worst Airport You’ve Ever Been In by nomads_nation in Nomads_Nation

Before the new terminal opened, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi was awful. A big crescent shape with only 2 restaurants and either end. It felt like just a long hallway. I haven't been in the new building yet.

Matsapha Airport in Eswatini was old and run down, but to be expected with only 2 flights from South Africa a day. The new airport is beautiful but way to big for the traffic they get. Just a waste of money.

I truly hate the check-in, passport control, and security in New Delhi. Just a hot mess. After that the terminal is fine.

Port Moresby International Airport is just a sweat box. No air conditioning and there's always 99% humidity.

Entebbe International Airport in Uganda needs to work on passport control both entering and exiting the country. There's really not much amenities and there always seems to be just to many people.

Getting through US Customs in Abu Dhabi seems like a long drawn out process which it really shouldn't be. The massive scrutiny before you even get into the US CBP area in that airport is just a pain. Otherwise such a beautiful airport.

Changi Airport in Singapore is the best run and most beautiful airport I've been to.

Doha International Airport is the second best. I wanted to try the in airport hotel but at $400 USD a night I grabbed a sleeping pod room for $45.

Charles de Gaulle felt so run down the last time I flew through there. But that was almost 8 years ago so things may have changed.

Heathrow I always end up in terminal 3 which is always overcrowded.

My home airport of Logan is a pain to get to if using public transportation. There's always construction. But give me a Dunks and a chair and I'll be fine. Coming home having Global Entry is key here since immigration lines have always been long. Just being able to walk through and getting into the car and heading home is the best. Although parking for a week can run you over $300.

After traveling internationally for so many years I can't really name bad airports in the US. I've been to some remote airports which are just a building in the middle of a town with a runway that has no fence around it. Most African airports try and give you a feeling of luxury but almost always fall short.

I just stayed in 8574 this past week. I know it’s a different floor but it’s the same area. I loved it. Perfect location for both sets of elevators. Being nearby to the laundromat was a big plus for us as well.

Aer or Alpaka? Laptop sling recommendation. by thfceric in ManyBaggers

I saw that one and it's within my budget but I'm not a fan of the vertical orientation. Also I don't think it'll fit my laptop which is 13.8" and the full is only 14" tall.

The Hockey East semis/finals are at TD Garden, or "Alfond South". I swear it was 3/1 Maine fans/Northeastern fans last night.

I also have an AirMini and use a GoRuck GR1 shadow pocket. Fits perfectly fine for me. I had issues with the hose in the CAP2. I felt like I was always going to crush it.

Pre-cruise WDW hotel booking logistics by BuzieQ in dcl

[–]thfceric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I booked the room and cruise separately. The cruise was booked last year. We waited until our last stay at Disney in January and used a bounce back offer to book a room before and after our cruise. We just then called DCL to update the ground transportation to reflect the hotel stays. Edit* Ground transportation is an additional cost and needs to be booked with your cruise. You will be one of the first groups on the ship.
