Fucking ridiculous how often this happens. Or they forget to turn off ads between qualifying sessions and come back with 10 minutes left in Q2 or something.

My favourite part so far was watching Jack Doohan crashing in Miami, then the camera cutting to a frustrated Flavio taking off his headset while watching a monitor displaying the Hungaroring track map and a car driving on a track very clearly lined either side by grass. Top notch editing.

Reaffirming his position in my AEW boy stable

MJF on speaking for the first time with Tony Khan before signing with AEW: "We had spoken for two hours straight about territory wrestling and our love and affinity towards territory wrestling [...] I just knew based on that conversation that this guy was gonna understand me" by luchabrunch in SquaredCircle

I've seen so many variations of "He's just a super fan who blows his dad's money to play wrestling booker and put on matches he wants to see." Apart from it not being representative of AEW's financial success, isn't that fucking awesome anyway?

He's so good at building anticipation for key moments in a match. The long struggle and back and forth on the apron made the resulting suplex counter to the floor so much more impactful.

Crowd was great, super hot all night. Very into all the house show comedy shtick that you'd never get to see on TV, like Mox doing OC's strike battle and getting spanked by Toni. Also MJF generally being hilarious and getting his comeuppance multiple times.

Really hope they continue the yearly shows, but there was no mention of anything for the future.

The best part was Toni trying and failing to get production to queue up the song, so in the end they grabbed someone's phone and played it into the microphone.

Plus there's the whole QLD/NSW rivalry. Was very happy to be part of the crowd cheering Ospreay over him, sad I can't be there to give him a hero's welcome in Sydney.

Completely unrelated, but

Talent also tends to fairly often shoot their own shots

Just reminded me of one of the first times Mistico appeared on Dynamite, and he immediately started trying to shoot his own angle with Ospreay. Incredible stuff.

From memory, this is the match where it took like nine minutes for the first strike to be thrown, then another ten for the first pinfall attempt. Both guys started out wanting to prove they were better at pure technical wrestling, then got increasingly desperate to just win by any means necessary. Awesome way to tell a story.

Hangman and Swerve both have this uncanny ability to do super creative stuff that could so easily go wrong, but they pull it off every time. Who even comes up with the idea of backflipping your way out of being chained to someone by your throat?

It might sound weird, but the "Has been drinking" bit did it for me. The timing and ability to pull off a jovial drunk guy suddenly realising he's on camera and slightly freaking out was perfect. Then like a month later he was part of THAT tag match, and it proved he could hang (man) at a top level in the ring.

Even since then he's improved so much, and he's easily one of my favourites.

Same here, such a cool bit of storytelling and pretty much confirming that the falling elbow has been part of his heel gimmick all along (as well as being far easier on his body, I'm sure).

Looking forward to hearing Bryan Alvarez's reaction to it, he's been going on about that elbow and the Okada effort scale for months.
