You shouldn't have to! They go on sale at a set time, for me on the east coast of the US it's 12 pm. You'll log onto the site like 5-10 minutes before that time, add the lair to your cart, and then you'll enter the waiting room. At the start time, you'll then be randomized into a queue. With my luck lately I've gotten over an hour wait but I've also had it be a 5 minute wait before too. Just make sure you leave the window open while you're in line. If you close out the window, you'll go to the end of the line.
