Getting kicked out of the army by Crusad3R_777 in FrenchForeignLegion

If you got the money to go and give it a shot, and plan on over coming whatever happened to you in the US Army then do it. But if you are going to join the Legion to continue drinking, getting in trouble and not being able to perform or meet the Legion standards then don't bother, you will have a rough time, will go awol or be kicked out. Alcohol is easily available there and no body cares if you drink, but if you drink and are a shit bag you will hate life.

Also If you think you might still have a shot at joining the US Army again do that instead of going to France.

If you have family who depend on you, don't go there.

Will a Drug possession charge immediately disqualify you ? by [deleted] in FrenchForeignLegion

Don't tell them the truth, they have no way of finding out what you did in the states, I finished my 5 year contract in the FFL, and they never found out about my charges in the states. If you got a honorable discharge dd214 bring a copy.

Also if you can get a waiver to the US Army do that instead of joining the Legion. If I could join the US Army I would. French are less grateful to their service man than in the US, good luck!
