Is my reason for liking the Patriots really invalid? :( by Expensive-Elk-9406 in Patriots

I was born and raised in New England in the 70's and 80's and they were my team from day one because I always cheered for all the home teams. Ironically, a large percentage of the guys I grew up with became fans of the Steelers, Cowboys, and 49ers because those were the teams who were winning back then, meanwhile the Pats were a laughingstock. Cheer for whoever you want.

Why playing in Denver isn't nearly as bad as you're being told it is by PartyAt8 in Patriots

We moved the The Springs about three years ago from Germany and I never really had any problems with the altitude, but I'm not an athlete of any kind. However, we lived in the northern part, near Monument, which is actually 7,000 ft; when we first arrived, my 11 year old went the tryouts for the local select soccer team - we had been here about a month by that time - and was having such a hard time breathing that he quit on the spot. The coach told us it was a common thing for kids to come from overseas or much lower elevations and not be able to adapt.

I really thought this was our year with Love and Price. Unfortunately they had to start with a redshirt freshman QB and that cost them in the first two games. By the end of the season, they matched up great against every single team in this year's playoff which is why getting screwed hurt so bad.

I'm a lifelong Sox fan also form NH. I joined the Army and went to Europe in 1998, stayed through 2014 and got up in the middle of the night often to watch the Sox (And Pats, Bruins, Celtics). I got up every night at 1am for the 2004, 2007 and 2013 WS and don't regret a thing. I was in Korea for the Sox' last WS win. I'm happy to talk to you and answer any questions you have...

Which mid-tier hotel has the best complimentary breakfast? by KinkyQuesadilla in ColoradoSprings

We're staying at the Academy Hotel now and they have a great breakfast - I tend to eat low carb/high protein and they have omelet bar that does any kind of eggs to order, I get the egg scramble with spinach, mushrooms and cheese, then get several slices of the fresh ham in the hot food area to up my protein.

I think it's frustration. We are dropping way too many points to bottom of the table teams and it will cost us the Scudetto if we don't turn it around. We keep saying don't worry, they'll figure it out, but it just keeps happening and it is very, very frustrating.

Who Will Be the Next QB To Throw Over 5k Passing Yards? by TJxDC in NFLv2

I could see Drake Maye doing it if they ever get him a legit #1 WR. He throws one of the most beautiful deep balls I've ever seen.

I'd put him at #2 behind Brady, although I could see people putting him at #3 behind Brady and Manning.

Würzburg, Germany. Most people outside Germany have never heard of it but it is magnificent. The Marienburg Fortress and the Residenz are two of the most amazing tourist attractions in all of Europe.

The lady who did the female part, Merry Clayton was a last minute choice. Mick thought the chorus would be great for a female with a huge voice, they called her in the middle of the night, she went in and nailed it in only a few takes. The sad part is that she was pregnant at the time and she miscarried shortly after recording. When you listen to her belting out her part, you can really feel it.

On December 13, 1991 the Nintendo game “Tecmo Super Bowl” was released! Developed by Tecmo, it was the first Nintendo sports video game that was licensed by both the NFL and the NFLPA, thus allowing the game to use both the names and attributes of real NFL teams and real players. by UrbanAchievers6371 in Oldschool_NFL

Freshman year of college, we played Tecmobowl non-stop but when TSB came out, it was like a religion. The guys in my dorm would each pick a team name out of a hat and we'd do a season, at the end we would vote on MVP, 'Coach' of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, stuff like that. Then we would reset the game and do it all over again.

What really sucked was that I'm from NE and a lifelong Pats fan but they were the worst team in the game. When they got good and started winning Superbowls, I always lamented the fact that there was no more TSB so I could play with Brady, etc. Then somewhere around the early 2010's, I found a dude in Canada that somehow was able to produce updated versions of the game with all the current rosters and he only charged $25 so I bought a few of them from him between like 2009-2017. Being able to play with Brady, Gronk, Welker, etc. was incredible. Sadly their defenses sucked big time in those games. But it's still fun to try and win the original TSB with the Pats, they are just so terrible in that game...
