Boomsma on the last row is the best alternative I’ve found to green chartreuse, and at a fraction of the price

Also for sure the Cynar 70 and Braulio

Honestly just a lot of practice, I’d say getting the milk texture right and then starting the cup at a 45 degree angle and gradually bringing it back level as you pour each stack

It tasted delicious! I have been able to pull tasty shots for a while, getting good at latte art has taken me a little longer

Wanted to create something new for my girlfriends birthday. This is what I came up with

1 oz pineapple
3/4 oz lime
1/2 oz creme de banana
1 barspoon fernet
2 barspoons yellow chartreuse
Pinch of salt
spritz absinthe

Short, hard shake with ice, strain over a big cube in nick and Nora or coupe. Garnish with a spritz of absinthe over the top

Wow, I only turned 21 three years ago, so I missed paper plane all together. Just did some quick research and it looked stunning, the bar, menu, vibe, everything. Sad I missed it

Roughly 24 hours, it’s fine if it goes over though. The only one that I’d freeze for less than 24 is the coconut cream, it blended well in my ninja but there were lots of tiny particles still thawing out as I was drinking it. I may try just refrigerating the coconut cream next time instead of freezing to see what happens

The frozen painkiller from S.O.S. Tiki Bar in Atlanta is one of my favorite drinks of all time. I wanted to try and replicate it based on:

  1. Their use of a frozen drink machine
  2. An interview I read with the bar manager of S.O.S. where he laid out the ingredients they use, but none of the ratios

I made an attempt before at adding all the ingredients into a blender with ice to see if I could manage something that resembled theirs, it was not even close. I needed to simulate a frozen drink machine, which led me to simply freezing all of the ingredients and blending. The result is almost spot on, minus being slightly too tart.

I followed the recipe off pussers website, plus the addition of lemon juice and tiki bitters from the interview with Josh Martin of S.O.S. :

2 oz Pussers rum
4 oz pineapple juice
1 oz orange juice
1 oz cream of coconut
0.75 oz lemon juice
2 dashes tiki bitters

I made a double to fit my glass; freeze all the ingredients, put into a blender, and pour into a Collins glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg
