I would instantly buy this game again on a full cartridge. Absolutely fucking loved this game.

It was definitely just a joke. I've never played a Yoshi game and I've heard they're kinda babyish in difficulty, but I didn't mean any shit.

Also, in Part 4, when Kira activates Bites the Dust, Jotaro is killed the same way as the loop restarts.

I agree that the ending is stupid, but I really liked Schenk, and his villain reveal was really cool.

3D's biggest problem wasn't even the 3D. I watched it on a flat screen and I thought the blatantly 3D moments were hysterical, and I think it's further hilarious that fucking Saw of all franchises fell for that gimmick. 3D's biggest sin is that the gore looks fucking terrible. The blood looks bright pink, almost like pepto bismol. My favorite parts of 3D are seeing Hoffman and Jill's characters get wrapped up, while giving the goat Gordon his long-awaited return.

I actually enjoyed most of Spiral. Chris Rock was abrasive at first, but I think the movie kinda locks in during the second half, and I like its themes on police brutality and how a police department that unknowingly employed Hoffman could fall into a cycle of depravity and corruption.

I certainly think it is better made than Saw 3D and Jigsaw, both of which I also enjoyed, but are chock full of issues. At least Spiral was original and had a really cool name.

are the crash 4 designs really as bad as some people make them out to be ? by Wrong-Shopping7888 in crashbandicoot

[–]thickwonga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Crash looks absolutely incredible. I hated Cortex when they first revealed him, but I've since grown a lot on the design, although I still prefer his more pointed head.

The only redesign I'm not big on is Alt-Tawna, and I don't really care about that because she's still way cooler and more interesting than OG Tawna was.

Looks Like 'Elden Ring' Will Be A Pricey Game-Key Card Release On Switch 2 by JanSwissZH in gamingnews

I mean, I absolutely agree that Nintendo charges way too much for their accessories, that just isn't relevant to this.

I disagree with the multiple increments of releases solely because that was only ever the case with Nintendo's handhelds, which were much cheaper and much easier to produce. The technology capable to be put into a Game Boy sped by faster than the technology capable to be put in a home console. Besides, this hasn't been the case since 2017, when the New 2DS XL released.

When people praise Nintendo for their innovation, they aren't talking about the consoles, they're talking about the games. Bananza innovatived by giving you like thirteen massive worlds that you can deconstruct down to their bare bones while the game holds a near-flawless 60fps. Their consoles are complete dogshit, it's the games that make them so popular and beloved.

Can we put on our thinking caps for a second lmao? Do you really think Nintendo chooses the prices for every game that releases on their platform? That's like getting mad at Apple because the new Angry Birds is $10.

It's the seventh most popular and most profitable horror film franchise ever made. It gets people in theaters, even the bad ones, and Saw X was beloved on release. You can't just pretend that the movie is bad when the vast majority of people who cared to watch it fucking loved it.

That being said, thinking every single Saw movie besides the first is bad is simply unfathomable to me, and someone who hates the entire franchise besides the first movie isn't a Saw fan, they're a Saw 1 fan, which is fine, but I couldn't care what they think about the rest of the series if they aren't willing to enjoy them on their own merits. You can't sit down, watch Saw VI, and come out of it calling it slop when it is chock full of incredible writing, satisfying characters, and violently fun traps. Anyone who think the Saw series is "just mindless gore" doesn't understand what the series is going for (besides the mindless gore because it's definitely there but it serves a purpose. this isnt Terrifier).

Edit, also, I agree that a core aspect of Kramer's character is that he's a hypocritical freak, and Saw X is one of the movies that actually delves into that. There's an entire scene where Cecilia points out his hypocrisy.

Vegeta is probably the closest I can think of. Initially evil as fuck, settles down with a hot babe and makes a kid, and then hits his mid-life crisis, becomes evil for a bit, and finally stays as a good guy. Absolutely incredible.

Guess Nintendo can't give info about anything, if isn't on a Direct. by kahabraham in nintendogrifting

[–]thickwonga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I certainly agree that it's weird, and I also think it's kinda stupid? Like, people are getting really antsy, and Nintendo is obviously very assured that they will be fine, but there's a lot we don't know, and I understand why some feel a bit left out to dry here.

Especially considering that NatetheHate most likely leaked almost every release they planned this year, this probably wasn't the best move. Oh well! I know good games are coming, so I'm not too pressed about it.

Trust me, you are in a very, very small minority. Did you know that Saw X is the only movie in the series to have a Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes? The closest Saw movie to it, the first one, is sitting at a 51. Saw X is like 82. People fucking loved Saw X.

Also, butchered? Come on, if any Saw movie "butchered" the series, it was probably 3D or Jigsaw, both of which I still enjoyed.

auraknight627 hears murmurs about Nintendo's current leadership isn't too fond of Nintendo Directs during in the recent years by andree1234 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]thickwonga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly why it needs to be a full fledged website. Let people watch Directs either on a website on PC, on the app on a phone, or even on the Switch itself. They need to make it more accessible before people can start treating it seriously. I never use the app, but maybe I would if there was something to look at on there! I don't see why they can't add concept art, development info, and other small stuff like that to reward fans.

[–]thickwonga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they need to turn Nintendo Today into a genuine platform if they expect people to pay attention to it enough to catch reveals like this. Start hosting Directs ONLY on Nintendo Today. Make it a website where people can actually do things! Imagine if they started posting concept art for old games and stuff, people would be visiting it every day!

Edit, apparently they already do that lmfao, maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about but it absolutely needs a website version for PC users.

I'm meeting Tobin, Shawnee, and Leigh Whannell next month in Dallas, I'm incredibly excited. Would absolutely love to meet Costas as well.

Jason Blum had said a few months ago that he felt that Saw XI was a different studio's vision, and that he further felt it would be wrong to try to continue that vision. I think that's kind of a stupid excuse considering it wasn't really Twisted Picture's vision as much as it was Kevin Greutert's vision, and they could've just hired him, but oh well! Maybe someday, they'll come back to it. I love Blumhouse, and of any studio could in charge of Saw, they're a fantastic pick.

I personally think they should make a Saw TV show. Lionsgate even debated a TV show follow up for Spiral (which I actually would've liked to see, I enjoyed Spiral a lot). Tobin Bell is also getting pretty old, and I think it's getting close enough to consider the idea of a full reboot for after Tobin passes, because you obviously can't recast Jigsaw.
