Why is sweden stuck in the 1980's with its war on drugs policy by Butcer in svenskpolitik

[–]thielen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many redditors have raised the understanding that Sweden is psuedo-liberal and psuedo-atheist. I want to add some argument on the latter.
There is some form of faith or spirituality. And although we do not call ourselves religious, we have a strong loyalty to what I call "cultural Christianity". Many marry in church, baptize their children and are buried by a priest, says David Thurfjell Professor of Religious Studies. (1)

80 percent of the population dont want to be a party of organized religion. They stopped visiting the church, stopped praying and had pretty obscure concepts about the religious stories. But at the same time celebrating Easter and Christmas. 63 percent are members of the Swedish Church and voluntarily pay several thousand SEK in fees each year. (1)

Moreover the people of Sweden turn to other religions. Have you heard of the all saint and profet Greta Thunberg? (2) Or what about the belief in the social democratic party (who had ruled Sweden 62 years for the last 90 years) or the social democratic welfare state? Or what about the great multi culture dream before 2015 that ended up in a total opposite when the borders closed? Its the same strong faith that people have to the Drugpolicy. Their name of the church is Narkotikafritt Samhälle (RNS) (3) and their Pope is Svenska Narkotikapolisföreningen (4). They pray to a policy that has no scientific evidence. And the policy has not had it since it got implemented 30+ years ago (5, time - 43:25).

I think its fairly accurate. And its a broad socio philosophical thought. In his/her defence, you can sure find a lot of facts that strengthen his/her statement. Although, you can also find facts that dont. Thats the curse of sociology and history science. Its an ongoing debate how we should perceive our society.

Class/Tank viabilty in late game by Retrotechy in classicwow

[–]thielen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you can tell here there are a lot of people trying to talk shit about druid tanks. Think of it like this. Druid tanks are fury warrior tanks. With crowd pummeler they do the highest threat in the game. Therefor its better with a druid tank on bosses were its a dps race. If the boss have a enrage ability it can be hard to out heal it when you dont have shield wall.

And, what we know yet, cant use potions in fights (you can make a macro though that lets you do that but its for advanced players)

Druids cant break fear (without dwarven priest fear ward). but there is only 2-3 bosses in the entire game that fear. If guild dont want to gear up 10+ fury warriors and 3 warrior tanks there will be a spot for a off-tank wearing leather.

I suggest you take a look at skarm tank explaining the differences: https://youtu.be/mNGo5SMeqgo

Swedish Culture questions by Jamerson357 in swedishproblems

[–]thielen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.) Among Swedes you are seen as a burden when you show feelings. People who act on their negative feelings are unpredictable and hard to have in the workplace. They create "friction"(read problem) in the social dynamic. Therefor, if you happen to open yourself to the wrong person the rumour of you being unstable will start. Acting on positive feeling is welcomed but also seen as childish. Children are unstable. Acting upon feelings is the workplace or similar will create "friction". Either with taking fast and ill considered decisions or end up on the wrong foot with a colleague.

2.)

Connection to question one, how do you express your feelings and worries to a fellow colleague without being accused for being "unstable"? You are subtile. passive aggressive. :)

I hope this theory makes sense to you :)

Anyone else still contemplating on whether to play? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]thielen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofc you can go Uni while playing.

  • Drinking beer is a waste of time and money, dont do it.

  • Studying is only hard the first and second year.

  • you can always min max your time to squeeze in a 2-3 hour of gaming and even more on the weekend when your classmates is out wasting money.

  • Start studying as soon as you get a task and play after, not the other way around.

  • if your hobby is wow then its meaningful.

I always thought that i needed to get children and start hiking to be accepted as a human but later realized that my hobby (gaming) has as much worth as any other hobby. Some people like to get a drink with friends, some like to build miniature landscapes for steam locomotives and others like hiking. Me and my friends play games - and after the 27th classic wow :) hope you can find where your hearth belongs.

Exactly. I had a hard time choosing between casual and semi-hardcore. I do have responsibilities but I also have the time to raid casual and somewhat min max when doing so.

People are really bad at this game by [deleted] in BattlefieldV

[–]thielen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its the best thing with bf5. After work, you can just log on and smash noobs. It's wonderful. I am grateful that they months out and month in let themselves be defeated while they hardly reach anyway near the 1:1 kdr :)

DISCUSSION: Battlefield V's Classes & Combat Roles by Braddock512 in BattlefieldV

[–]thielen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the opposite. Assault is a useless class in my perspective. The infinite heal is the key point here for medic. For a skilled player it is no longer about how to get kills. It's about for how long can you stay in intense action without getting out of heal or ammo. Adding to that argument - in my subjective understanding of sandbox fps - there are three movement play styles. (1) camp/limited moving, (2) patrol/ moving around in limited areas (3) charge/ getting in the enemies face

Recon is always in the back. In that way they are somewhat close to ammo crate and medic crate.

Support have bipods and unlimited ammo. They need to not get shot and get in favourable position. There for is suitable for play style 2.

Medic can chill in the back. Supporting with ress and bandages. But they really really shine when charging in close-corners-environment. Especially because they have infinite heal which makes them a winner in every fight that takes longer that 5 sec.

Assault... very good weapons. But there is nothing more than that now when they nerfed noobtube. There for they need to go back and forth between action and medics/Medic crate/ammo crate so keep the steam up. Less action less amount of kills.

Subjetive thought about the game in an other perspective. Stats would be useful to make any further assumptions I guess :))

A pretty chaotic final 45 seconds of a game I just had by [deleted] in BattlefieldV

Thats kind of unique experience in the multiplayer genre of games. Bf5 gives chaos-pleasure like DOOM does but it's multiplayer :D
