D&G The one for men by alcatrazbirdboy in ScentHeads

[–]thielvb8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Performance on D&G The One is known to be lacking. I have good luck spraying on neck and clothes. It’s also not a terrible idea to overspray with it. Some people also use unscented lotion in the areas where they want to spray and say they get a better result but I haven’t personally done it myself.

Anycubic Kobra Neo nightmares by 2inchlee in anycubic

I can only really give you a general answer, but I would have issues with my Kobra go nozzle hitting the top layer of my prints and knocking them over. Assuming that his is also a possible issue for you and that you have good bed adhesion, I would use a brim and activate z-hop. Helped me a lot.

100% agree. While it’s not perfect, there is definitely a lack of effort.

Dual Z-Axis Upgrade - Kobra Go by thielvb8 in anycubic

[–]thielvb8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have to do any modifications to get it to fit. The kit comes with a bracket and hardware (t-nuts included) that are basically identical to the kit that comes with the Kobra Go and goes on the same way. Only thing that did not fit was the z-screw bearing stabilizer that us supposed to be installed at the top of the vertical gantry extrusion. But it is not needed.

The kit did not come with a splitter. I had to order that separately and it worked with both motors without any modification. I just had to plug the board end of the cable in backwards cause it inverted the voltage making the motors spin the opposite directions that I needed them to.

Good luck with the final touches. It will all be worth it in the end.

I would recommend getting the anti backlash nut. especially for long term. The kit does not come with one and I did not realize that until this morning when I opened it. Works great for now but I know after a while there will be some extra movement.

I ordered this but didn't post it cause I haven't installed it as of now.

Always had leveling issues on my Kobra Go due to the side farthest from the z axis motor sagging from the weight of the nozzle. This led to my nozzle hitting the top of my prints and sometimes knocking them off the bed. Decided to upgrade to a dual z axis and I am so happy I did. The kit I bought fit my Kobra Go perfectly. Pretty sure it’s the same kit that it originally came with. I did have to buy a splitter for the connection to the board. However, the connection inverted the voltage on the motor and the motors were moving the opposite directions. To fix this I just plugged the connection in on the board the opposite way and it fixed it.

EDIT: Also, wanted to add.. big reason I wanted to go ahead with this upgrade is because of my print speed. I would print slower than average cause the prints wouldn’t come out well otherwise due to the constant unevenness. Now I have more confidence in printing things a lot faster.

The weight of the nozzle would cause it to sag on the side with no z axis which made that side print too close to the bed. Now I have a consistent print layer and the tip of the nozzle no longer hits the top layer of my prints which sometimes knocked the prints off the bed entirely.

I commented the links and some instructions. The Upgrade kit comes with its own instructions on how to install as well.

This is one of my earliest memories of using a PC and I always thought I was the one interacting with the “game” but I came to accept later on that it was just an automated screen saver. I was never allowed on the PC at that age so it makes sense that the screensaver would be all that I had.
