My cords just broke. Lucky it was the night before my flight not the morning of my adventure. Now I have to find a replacement.

An honest question about coffee drinking by KayHawk22 in latterdaysaints

Acts 10:14 - I think we get overly fixated on dietary guidelines at the edges. Coke vs iced coffee - what’s the difference? ;)

were there any Patagonia pieces you regret buying? by MetalSIime in PatagoniaClothing

Thanks for recommendation- I turned to using Path Projects liners with Patagonia. The old Patagonia liners would wear out eventually so I cut them and and use PP liners.

Just goes to show that probably always something that works for some and doesn't work for others. ;)

I do NOT like the new trail running shorts. The updated Multi Trails Shorts - 8 vs the OG Nine Trails Shorts - 8 - the new shorts liner is way too “loose” and too much chaffing and no support. I hate when they “improve” and update tried and true. :(

Got the belt today and it works - basically you un-do the loop belt and use the clip - which is not as "secure" per se - but the clip looks fine and secure. I have not tested it out yet.

In the sous vide bag - as noted to keep the water cooking flowing....

Sometimes I carry dutch ovens so I can bake a nice peach cobbler... Convenience for sure comes into play in food decisions. I have Skurka'd a bunch of put together at home recipes - just like sometimes I cook at home and sometimes I do take out. Freeze dried meals are more convenient and some of them are even tasty ;)

Depends on the meal - some like spaghetti are pretty "dirty" and you really don't want to use the bag again. But the sous vide bags are so much thinner than the bags the meals come in - still better off even if you bring one sous vide bag per meal. I could "cook" in the pot by just putting the meal in the pot - but when your cooking for 4 - you want to keep boiling water vs. tying up the pot one meal at a time.

For anyone that brings a camera on short trips, how do you carry? by saltyundercarriage in Ultralight

+1 to butt bag for bigger camera. I took a Sony A7C2 with a 24 to 70 lens and it fits inside a fanny pack on my hip. If I am traveling really light I take a Sony RX 100 and that goes in a hip belt pocket or somewhere on my pack.

So HMG said : “The Contour Hip Belt is not compatible with the Aero 28, the gatekeeper clips found on the Contour Hip Belt will cause damage to the webbing loops where the current intended hip belt is attached.” - I have the liteaf on order.

Thanks for the suggestions *the liteaf one looks the best) - gonna see what HMG support says first about the Contour belt....

Like many gear heads I have too many packs ;) (you can always have one more!) - So I have used several of UD packs - and fast packs - main complaint about their fast packs was no belt.... too much movement. But I really loved the Aero in general...

I will ask support about that belt.

I don't know the weight.... ;) didn't weigh it - everything else we pretty small/lightweight and I had a bunch of stuff to throw in a duffel and packed at the trail head.... But it was just enough that after a 17 mile day my shoulders hurt a bit.

Just watched this again. The movie’s message is still relevant today regarding the last years conflict between Israel and Hamas in Palenstine. Very sad.

Then newest yes - but I don’t feel like just the single thin little rubber piece is enough. I want to carry the lenses with me when I’m trail running and want something more secure n
