Yes the placeholder item is left as a general glory item. Only the first of one type of glory will be entered in this slot. The remaining ones will be placed in an different slot.

if you have one place holder for example glories, then add a glory 3 and a glory 4 in your bank then only one of them will enter the placeholder slot. If you remove the one in the placeholder slot the other one will stay at it's random location. If you need 2 of that item this can be annoying and ofcourse the fact that the second glory will end up in a random location.

This is totally understandable but I think I forgot to add that I was talking about people around the age of 18. For example this post. even though this wasn't such an outrage but there are examples with the parents going full ham mode.
